As of this review holsters for the Max-9 don't exist in great abundance. This one was as close as I could get but it has issues.1st. Retention is poor. The most modest shake and the weapon falls out. Where you would expect to find a screw tension adjustment there is none. Just a screw through a rivet. Holster required modification to correct this.2nd. The extended piece of kydex running up the outboard side makes re-holstering very difficult and could easily get into the trigger guard possibly firing the weapon. Modification required. Removed the offending and unnecessary piece of kydex.3rd. Sharp edges and pinch points. The area around the mag release button pinches your side between the holster and the mag release button. Modified this area of the holster to stop that and beveled all of the edges that ride next to your body.4th. The clip is junk but I already had an Ulti Clip that I intended to use.If there were an abundance of holsters available for the Max-9 I'd give this one 2 star rating but of the current contenders on the market this one is serviceable with modifications.After the Ruger holster I tried out the holster for the Glock 43x mos. I have to say it was much better. I did still have to modify the to tall outside edge but this one actually had correct tension adjustments. I'm not changing the 3 star rating just due to what may be inconsistencies from model to model.

So I think my only few dislikes on this holster is that one it was very very tight on the weapon it actually put a little bit of scraping marks in the slide the other thing is the molded in concealment claw is not high enough if they could just make it maybe another 1/8 in taller it would be perfect

Been carrying with this holster for a few months now plastic feel a little thin but nothin broke so far. My main complaint is that on a tuckable deep conceal type holster there logo that reads “whole guns” on the outside of the belt clip the only visible portion of the holster. Scratch it off and your good to go but seems like a bit of a oversight.

Adjustable rake allows either appendix or 4 o'clock carry. Fit is perfect for a quite new modle.

Very happy with this

It fits perfectly and works really well with a belt. I've also used it while wearing sweatpants. It's very comfortable and I don't feel it poking me while wearing it at all.
