Mishimoto MMRAD-TIB-01 Performance Aluminum Radiator Compatible With Hyundai Tiburon 2003-2008

I bought this radiator as my cars original rad had a crack appear on the plastic section. Apparently this a common problem on alot of 03+Tiburons (V-6 models specifically). This radiator is all aluminum and looks very nice. I had my mechanic install it and no issues after 2+ months. Car runs cooler. I did have an issue with the radiator cap leaking, I remedied it by buying a Napa branded Stant radiator cap.I didn't feel that was enough to remove a star. It does come with a lifetime warranty so i wont have to worry about the radiator again.

FIRST NOTE: for anyone looking to make your car run cooler, this will do just that, but that is a bad thing. A car is made to run a a specific temperature to both increase power an efficiency. Cooling down your engine will effect both of those negatively. Also good to note that it is unlikely that your heater will work as well if put into a stock vehicle. If you do put one of these into a stock Tiburon then I would recommend finding a 185-190 degree thermostat.For those with a modifies Tiburon who runs it a bit lean, absolutely perfect. Now I can run my engine lean, with the aftermarket parts, and still operate at a nice safe 230 degrees. On top of that it was gorgeous and seems very well built.If you would like a quick explanation as to why your engine does not run as well when its under normal operating heres for you. Gasoline does not burn in liquid form, it needs to be vapor, when it enters the combustion chamber as a liquid the heat vaporizes the fuel. The hotter the engine, the more fuel that can be vaporized, but make an engine too hot and although it will run with much more power and efficiency, you risk damaging it. So modern day cars run at about 230ish degrees. So once again I wouldn't recommend this on a stock tiburon engine.

Just a heads up but I bought it used so i knew there would be cosmetic damage but one of the bolts for the fan was bent in slightly so it wouldn't fit in just right. Buyer beware they dont test fitment when they sell used. Otherwise great product that works and looks great.

High quality, highly recommend though had some issues with the radiator cap Mishmoto supplied, would reuse stocker.

Got it fast, only problem was that I had to modify the stock fans in order to make them fit, Other than that, im satisfied : )
