Can these be harmful if you are retaining water

Yes! That's why I started using them, in addition to neuropathy and lymphatic issues (Which is tied to fluid retention). These are great and I've seen a huge improvement.

Will this product help slim your arms?

If you have fluid retention due to edema, they help to 'slim' (better description would be 'tone'... appearance of toning) your arms. This is not something that melts away fat forever... Don't we all wish it could be that simple :-)

It says it has ripples on them, does it leave an indentation on your skin ?

Yes it does. However, it is suppose to because the ripples are what helps massage your skin to help the lymph flow. They do disappear shortly after having your garment off. Hope this helps.

can i were it at night?

Yes, you could wear this at night. It may be a bit uncomfortable at first. Like others I do feel it rubs a bit in the armpit area.
