The description says that the joints are welded together, but they are not - it's soldered together. I did not want anything soldered as it may leech chemicals into the food.The joints look like they are hand-soldered as some of the wires are crooked.Finally, I'm not sure if this is even real stainless steel. I did the magnet test and these are definitely NOT magnetic at all.Returning product!

I bought these racks for canning. I have a large Soup pot in which I boil the jars for sterilization. These racks held up well. There is no rust on them so far. I've only use them once in a large pot of water and a large Skillet of water for the other size to simmer the lids. There is no rust apparent on the surface of the wrecks and they fit well inside of a multitude of Skillet and pot sizes. So, they work very well and are lightweight, and of course Amazon ships really fast. So, I got everything for the weekend I need to start the canning process.

I originally bought ONE single large rack from another source for more $ than this entire set. (It was defective so I sent it back.) This set of 3 racks is perfect; no product issues, great price and I got more than just the one large one that I needed for my water bath canner. The 7.5" fits in my Instant Pot, and the 9" fits my 8 qt stockpot. I havent had them long enough to speak to their longevity, but they appear to be as good a quality as what came with my IP and I feel like they will last a long time if maintained as they should be, ie. dont leave them sitting in water for a long time, dont leave baked on food on them to eat away at the finish, etc.

I bought these racks to be used for several purposes. They are spare cookie racks. I use the large sized one as a bacon press. I flip it upside down to flatten the bacon strips, in my frying pan, and I can also see how the bacon is cooking. I use one at the bottom of my Dutch oven to keep my pot roast out of the water as it steams. The rack allows enough room to cook vegetables under the roast.The racks are made of thinner stainless steel...like store bought cooking racks, but are sturdy and well made. The feet keep the rack level. I like that this is a set, so I can use them for all sized pots and pans.

I was looking for some nice round racks to be able to stream some tamales and crab legs over a pot of boiling water instead of using a big long rectangle cookie cooling rack I had in the cabinet. This set is the perfect size and gives u 3 different options to use on different pots and are very easy to clean and store stacked up. Great price and are very sturdy units.
