Sorry, Maddie, not enjoyable
This felt like a high school student's essay. I hate to leave a negative review, but I just wouldn't want anyone else looking for something to inspire them to get this and be excited for some good information. This took 30 minutes to thumb through and read and it felt seriously like a high school paper about how to think positive. The writer also had a negative experience with a bad fitness coach, and paints the fitness industry as being entirely toxic and superficial, and it really isn't - she just saw one side of it. Not all of it is about 'oh shrink your body.' There's a lot more to it and she didn't stick around long enough to figure it out. It's weird, i've followed the writer for awhile and every time I check in she's living a different identity. It's almost like she's addicted to 'body positive' one year, then 'goddess spiritual awakening' the next. Fitness and fitness competitions can be an addiction too. I'm curious if the next book will be about addiction.
