Worked out perfect for what I needed!!!

So I got this because i always have issues with HDMI cables and the Arlington recessed boxes I use. I never have enough space to plug an HDMI cable into the back of a normal HDMI Keystone when using the recessed boxes (Arlington TVBU505-1 TV Box Recessed Outlet Wall Plate Kit, 2-Gang, White, 1-Pack). For some of my installs I bought right angle adapters from Monoprice, but I like to limit the number of physical connections. So I got this to try it out. It also said it would work for 18gbps, which I thought might be nice for future-proofing a bit (for 4k).So the device itself is like any other Keystone. It fit well and wasn't hard to put in the keystone plate. However, like BB said in his/her review, the thing is too "shallow". I wish it were maybe even a 1/4" deeper. if not 1/2" deeper. I got the HDMI cable plugged into the back, but while putting the keystone plate in the recessed box (which is open back), the adapter broke because the HDMI cable angled out due to how the faceplate is. If you have just a low voltage trim ring in drywall, I'm not sure this would work at all. Because it angles down, it will be like the bottom jack on the plate and I don't think there is 1/2" of space between the front to the front of the cable. This might not be an issue if you use a keystone plate with only 1 opening, but I generally install 6 opening plates.Ultimately, and luckily, the adapter didn't break to the point that it didn't work (just the casing split apart in the back). I put it back together, and carefully put it in (the hdmi cable still angled a bit back), but it does work.So, just be careful when purchasing it. It's a great idea, but a pigtail will likely be better. If it was made 1/4-1/2" deeper, I think it would be perfect. I would buy this again, but since I'm aware of it's downfall, I think I can work around it, and only because of the specific boxes I use.

3 of the 5 didn't work upon install & 1 just came apart.

I installed these in a Cargo Trailer with only 1-1/4" wall space. I built a riser box to gain extra clearance and they worked great. They are a little flimsy IF you are trying to use them in a very confined space, hence the 4 star rating. If you're using them in a house or other application with adequate room, they will perform perfectly. With my limited space, the 90 degree configuration was all that would work. I would purchase them again if needed.

This product made my HDMI connection to the jack seamless. It was easy to use, one snap and you're done.

I was happy to find these because my setup would have required much more work without them. I got it to work and the picture and sound quality seems fine when I use it. It is definitely worth using if you need it, but be careful.I did have an issue with the integrity of the part. I put the jack in the faceplate, then the cable in the jack. There was a little extra strain on the cable that caused it to slightly lift the jack started pulling apart. Paranoid that this would cause problems down the road I decided to take it out and I literally could not get it out without the jack falling apart and exposing the internals. I tried again with a new one and relieved the strain from the cable. The new jack was better, but still wouldn't have taken much to break.Overall I would recommend, but they do need some attention. I would also appreciate if there were a variety of different angles that came in the set. Another angle would have worked better. I don't know if that is feasible to achieve, but might be helpful to the consumer.

I purchased this in order to mount in a low voltage box in drywall. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to use it because the 90-degree bend is too close to the front face. It may end up working for you if you use a more flexible cable, but just keep that in mind. Also, if installed right side up, the 90-degree bend will face downwards.I ended up using a HDMI keystone plug that had a pigtale.
