It paired easily and works just like the remote that came with the TV, including all the main functions. No lag, no issues, and no hassle setting it up. this remote works fantastic! This is actually my second time buying the exact same one. The first one I bought a few years ago yes YEARS! After my TV remote stopped working I needed a replacement and found this one. I was a bit nervous. I thought it was gonna be a pain to set up. It was a matter of plugging it in and letting the TV do the work for the most part. When I bought the TV five years ago, it did not have the voice feature that this remote has. Saves me a bit of time when searching. It doesn’t always understand me, but it’s a lot faster than typing in all the words using the keypad with the up-and-down arrows. Of course it’s helpful too because it has the Netflix button and the Amazon prime button saving me a little bit of time to get around The first one I bought was great, except we kept dropping it on the tile floor all the time. We would tape it up and it would work. Then we drop it again and repeat. For some reason, somebody’s always tossing it and then missing it and it lands on the floor and another plastic piece would break off, but the thing would still work well eventually, it gave up the ghost when we were down to half the thing missing ! I was so glad to see that they still make this although it seems like it’s updated. When I plugged it in the TV recognized it and I did nothing else but let the TV do its thing and we were set! No hesitation this thing is worth it. Same with the TV, which is more than 6 years old and working great - even though now the same size is less than half the price ha ha

I’m so happy I now can use my voice on my Samsung smart tv. The original remote don’t have voice and now I do, and it’s so cheap I am impressed. Very simple instructions to pair it to tv, and it works seamlessly like the original.

I did not think I'd be writing a review for a remote control. My kids lost mine. I ordered this as a replacement. It's better than the remote that came with my LG TV. I always thought I had a bad TV that was really laggy, but it was just the remote this whole time. This new remote worked right away, it just turned on the TV and started working. I didn't have to do anything. And it's so much faster than my old remote. I I turn on the TV and I can start using it right away. I am so happy with this purchase and I am so glad my kids lost my remote.

Just like the one that came with out tv! Our son is famous for breaking remotes and this came SO FAST! works perfect.

I don’t like this remote. I’ll start there. It does work better than the original remote, which is dead, and that’s the only reason it’s still here. As a replacement, it functions. As a piece of hardware, it’s a mess. The battery cover will not stay on. That alone should have disqualified it. A remote that sheds parts in normal use isn’t finished. The wheel button is worse. It’s lurchy and indecisive, sitting between detents and then slipping forward or back on its own. When it does that, it wakes the remote and throws the pointer up on the screen like a nervous tic. You didn’t touch it—it just decided to move. Clicking the wheel is a gamble. Because scroll and click share the same control, a “select” often includes an unwanted scroll up or down. You’re never quite sure what action you’ve asked for until it’s already happened. As for the voice feature—I’ve owned this TV for two years and haven’t used it once. That’s not a failure of learning; it’s a failure of relevance. And the finish tells the rest of the story. The ink on the Home and Play buttons is already fading after four months. That’s not wear. That’s cheap printing. If the original remote hadn’t died, this wouldn’t be in the room. That’s the verdict.

Remote works well including the pointer. No set up required, just insert batteries and you good to go. Very happy with my purchase.

I took a chance on this after seeing the price of the original LG one. My original LG remote stopped working out of the blue, with the light stuck on as if a button was stuck down. I took it to bits, cleaned it, replaced the batteries, re-paired to the TV but it didn't help so I resigned myself to replacing it. This one is identical to the original, except maybe slightly lighter? The magic pointer feature works fine as does the voice remote and I've found no issues using it with my 3 year old LG SM8050PLC. Hopefully I won't need to but would definitely buy again.

Purchased this remote for Samsung Q82D tv. Original remote lost so had purchased a different previously but the power button took multiple pressing to turn the tv off and on so purchased this one. It worked immediately with no set up required! Pleased thus far with my purchase. Hopefully this one lasts longer than 5 months.
