My wife just had knee replacement surgery and this is the exact item they use in the hospital after she has her physio. The cold packs you buy at pharmacies can do the trick but this is the real thing. After doing her exercises this pack can be spread out from the the calf over the knee up onto the thigh or wrapped right around the joint. It has a heavy duty rubberized exterior and it stays colder a lot longer than the pharmacy packs you can buy. A really good investment.

This product was used by my physical therapist, and I was so enthralled with its flexibility, and with the relief that it provided that I had to buy one for myself. Flexible enough to go around a rounded area, like a knee, but it can also lay flat. The cold lasts a long time.Just pop it in the freezer for a couple of hours in between uses and it will be ready to go. The PT wrapped it in a pillowcase so it doesn’t directly touch your skin and I did the same.
