Short and uplifting, reading this account of Chapman’s life is a great morning devotional read. I think there is a more full and well-rounded biography that this book was derived from if the reader wants to dive deeper.

Great book on showing the love of Christ to a list and dying world

This is an amazing and inspiring book! Quick read and short but deep chapters make it an excellent encouragement to me. I’ve bought it for friends because I enjoy it so much!

I give this book a 5 star rating because of its writing style and content. The style is very thorough yet readable. The content was meaningful because of the introduction it gave me of this man of God. #inspired

I really enjoyed the book. While I do my best to read scripture every day it is at times hard to relate how to live my life in light of the bible. Reading about others who have lived lives fully impacted by the bible, who are closer to our more modern times gives me the hope and encouragement that I too can live a life impacted by Christ.

Being in full time ministry myself, these accounts of lives surrendered to Christ in ages past I find so helpful! I need to be reminded that it IS possible for Jesus to transform & empower His servants into expressions of His own life & ways! I have heard much of George Muller & Charles Spurgeon, so it is a delight to hear more of a man they both fellowshipped with & respected.

I LOVE this saint! Truly he had and lived the heart of God. The story about his enemy is so beautiful. It brought me to tears! So beautiful. He is a great example of Jesus. A MUST have for servants of Christ ! Love his quotes that they put in the book too.

This is a great book! It's a brief look at Chapman's life and how he lived Christ. The book itself is short with short chapters - which makes it easy to pick up and set down as needed. The end of each chapter has several quotes from the Bible, other saints, or Chapman - these are a treasure.

I wish every Christian would read this! A powerful spiritual fragrance emanates from every page. This is truly one of the most revolutionary books ever written. It takes you right back into the heart of New Covenant Christianity. It is probably one of the most graciously challenging books ever produced. An amazingly godly man who is a great example to any Christian in any era. Easy to read but challenging to live out.

Excellent and interesting account of the life of a godly pastor.

Beguilingly naive and compellingly simple in its narrative, this book presents a man of God in all his humility and prayerfulness. And this is what makes the book so powerful and confronting ... it presents a man so caught up in devotion to Christ that he starts to reflect Him to a watching world. Powerful, because of the effects his life had on others. Confronting, because this is a mere mortal just like the rest of us. What an inspiring saint of the Lord!
