The magic of Persia
My granddaughters have been captivated by this version of these ancient tales, mis-titled in the original 19th Century translation into English as "The Arabian Nights". The stories are from Persia (modern Iran) and not Arabia, but that said, they are still captivating, and this new illustrated version has been a 'hit' with my three granddaughters. It is true to the original, not 'Disneyfied', and the illustrations are beautifully executed.

Stories are too wordy on some pages
I bought all 5 ranking them as: 1. Aesop's Fables: Stories are shorter, and perfect text to picture ratio. 2. Mother Goose 3. Hans Anderson 4. Grimm's 5. Arabian Nights: Stories are too long, and some pages are too wordy. You can go without this book. See Photos Attached. I have a 4 year old and she lost interest in some of these stories because it got too long or multiple things going on at once.
