Great Christmas present!
I bought this book for my best friend's christmas present. I love David Bowie and I read some pages before giving it to her, it's an interesting Biography of Ziggy Stardust, not Bowie. I loved it, and so did my friend!

This was awesome!!!!A biography...but not quite. Goddard chooses as subject of this stunningly researched piece the one and only Cosmic Messiah who changed a whole generation of punks and rockers: Ziggy Stardust. Beginning at the dawn of time and extending itself until the Starmans suicide in 73, this book only leaves you craving for more. Across its massive timespan, every chapter dedicates itself to explore one (or several) of Ziggy's influences, or as the writer puts them, his first manifestations. Stories on stories, anecdotes on anecdotes, the mad ones parade across the books 300 (short) pages. Only through half the book does the man who became the Starman come to protagonism. And indeed its one hell of a ride, that i enjoyed to the very last word.A must-have for every Bowie fan and anyone interested in enjoying a real-life epic.

Fun read
The narrative is hokey, but you can tell the author knows his Ziggy facts. Interesting how he develops all of the ingredients to make our Cosmic Messiah. Ziggy Rules!

Unique style
Took a while to adapt to the author's style, but I got into it then.
