The font size and the layout of this book makes it accessible to me. I find the study skills section helpful. Plus, as I cross reference the book's content with Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing Examination study guide, it seems to contain every topic on the exam. There are 175 questions with explanations at the back. I must say, I also purchased a comparable book (which I shall return) because the font size is ridiculously small (I have to strain my eyes to read it) and the outline format chosen is user unfriendly, even though the content seems great.

*updated* passed the exam using this as my primary study guide. Practice test is a bit easy but concepts good. Used in conjunction with AACN certification and core review questions (online). Former review: Just started using this a study guide and so far I love it - much easier to read and study from then other books I’ve used in the past. Looking forward to success in the exam. Will update as I move forward in the studying process.

If you are new to NICU nursing or preparing for certification exam this is the book for you.. I recommend it to all of the nurses I precept or orient to the NICU.

I thought the material was straight to the point. The information was easily digestible and not overloading. The layout for the book was a bit confusing, but I've realized it goes along with the NIC exam. However, I do like this study guide overall. It does seem to be missing some information that I've seen in other guides.

So I haven’t taken the test yet but just from using it as a study tool, I do like the format of the book. It’s easy to understand, breaks down each subject matter into the main, important information you need to know. Hopefully it helps me pass the exam!!! I also plan on doing the online flash cards and checking out the dvd. I learn best by practice questions and writing down information I feel is important so hopefully this book will have all the info I need to do well on the exam!

What I like about this book is the way it was written. It is very clear, concise and well structured. If you hate reading thick books, this is a summary of the comprehensive ones. Definitely recommend especially if you are taking just a few weeks to review for RNC nic or CCRN neo. Very easy to understand

Covers all the topics that NNC website posted for examination content. Very easy to understand, also contains the practice exam at the end of this book. I hope I can pass the exam with this book. I will update the review after I take the exam.

I like the way it is organized, I appreciate the tips on test taking. Did I mention I'm ANXIOUS! I felt overwhelmed starting to read books, feeling I had to get through them cover to cover. When I picked up yours I just opened up to a page and started. It encouraged me to read the next and previous or whole section. One bite at a time. I liked that!
