Great sweetener
I think Erythritol Granules is a great product, no calories, and has a glycemic index of 1 so it does not raise the blood sugar levels. I use it is as a sweetener in all products needing sugar that I make, puddings, cookies, homemade ice cream, etc, and don't notice any aftertaste that some people have mentioned. Before I started using Erythritol I only used about half the sugar recipes called for so switching to a a product Erythritol Granules wasn't difficult. I think the taste is fine and hubby does too. The only cons if there are any is: Number one the cost, it is much more expensive than regular table sugar and that prevents a lot of people from using it who would otherwise buy it and benefit from it. And two, which goes along with number one, you have to use more for your products because it is less sweet which makes it even less cost effective. You could mix a little monk fruit sweetener with the Erythritol Granules and that makes it go a little farther and a little sweeter, however, the monk fruit sweetener does have a little after taste, not terrible but it is there. I use them both occasionally together because I like the added benefits over using table sugar for products that need to be a little sweeter. I like the product and I would recommend it.

Love it for baking so far!
I prefer stevia but it's not that great for baking. I can't eat other sugar substitutes without getting sick but I've read a lot of good things (and of course bad things) about erythritol. Overall, it seems to be one of the few sugar "alcohol" substitutes that's a safe alternative. Mainly, I like the fact that it suppresses oral bacteria (WITHOUT affecting gut bacteria) and it doesn't trigger an insulin response or change glucose metabolism in the body.I have read that it DOES have some small effect on the gut and can cause intestinal distress in some people with IBS or if they already have gut issues (I have gut issues and seem to do fine with it though). The main problem a lot of people seem to have with it is that it could be GMO (since this is not GMO I'm not worried but it's not organic so there's that, I guess). I bought it to use for making baked goods and frosting (I think this stuff is REALLY good for frosting!) so I don't really use it for anything else like drinks or coffee. This stuff has a cool, minty aftertaste that's definitely noticeable (as in you will feel that "cooling" effect as it travels down your esophagus). I don't find it off-putting but others might. Also, it's supposedly only 70% as sweet as sugar but I just used it to make fudge and I didn't adjust the amount I used (measured it just like sugar). It came out just as sweet as real sugar in that case (I've read that a lot of people like to cut it with stevia or other sugar subs). The texture was another matter...I don't know if it's because I'm having thermometer issues or this is just how erythritol performs in candy making, but it crystalized and the end result was the fudge was crunchy but still tasty. For "keto" vanilla or chocolate butter cream frosting you can do:1 cup of butter (room temperature - do NOT attempt to make frosting unless your butter is at room temp!).1.5 cups of (already) pulverized erythritol granules (you will need to run it through a blender first so it's like powdered sugar).2 tbs of heavy whipping cream, or milk (or coconut milk).1 tsp of vanilla OR 2 tbs cocoa powderDash of salt (I like a big dash).1. Combine liquid ingredients in bowl with hand mixer till combined. If you're using milk instead of heavy cream you might want to keep 1 tbs in reserve and only use it if it's too dry after you add the erythritol.2. Add dash of salt and then slowly add powdered erythritol (in 2 batches) with hand mixer until it's like frosting. You can use it on your protein cookies or cakes. Make sure you store whatever you don't use in the fridge.

Wonderful Replacement For Sugar
Awesome sweetener! Read the reviews and kept them in mind when eating the first cookie I made with erythritol. A lot of folks reported it is not as sweet as sugar. Well, its not sugar, so.. In fairness, it is not as sweet as sugar, but that is not a negative. I do not eat sugar unless it is in a baked good or dessert, and that is not often. I do not have a "sweet tooth" and do not like overly sweet anything. As well, I do not add sugar to tea, coffee or iced tea, so I have no opinion on erythritol in drinks. I used measure 4 measure in a Keto cookie recipe and the granules performed exactly like crystal sugar. I tasted the dough and it was, IMO, sweet. On first taste of the baked cookie, it was sweet and had no "cooling" mouth feel as others are complaining about. The texture of the cookie was no different to a cookie made with sugar.I think the "cooling" mouth feel may be a result of using too much of this sweetener. It seems some of the reviewers are trying to duplicate real sugar sweetness and using more than a recipe actually requires.Bottom line: this is a wonderful replacement for sugar. Use measure 4 measure at first before making recipe adjustments. Remember, this is not sugar, it is sweet but is far from actual sugar.Update: Ive been using the product for over 2.5 years now and stand by my original review. In the photo you can see I made Welsh Cakes using this sugar substitute. They backed up perfectly and tasted wonderful. Many folks now have tasted baked goods I made and yet to hear a negative opinion.I have compared this to many other sweeteners and still prefer erythritol.

Good Sugar Substitute
I thought I'd try this brand of Erythritol because it's a bit cheaper than what I've been using for awhile now. And it tastes okay, but is just not quite as sweet as the one I've been using (Swerve). I've seen others talk about the cooling effect with pure Erythritol, and I don't notice that at all with this. That's with using it in my coffee and making cinnamon and 'sugar' with it. I'm guessing it'll be fine for baking if I just add a little extra. It's crystallized just like sugar and not powdery at all. But for my coffee and cinnamon and 'sugar' I think I'll stick with Swerve. I'd still recommend it because it does taste good and has no odd aftertaste or cooling effect. Those who have never had any other won't even know the difference. It's a good sugar substitute.

A staple in my kitchen .with a price that can't be beat
I'm not sure what purchase it is that i am asked to review but it's far from the first and even farther from the last .I love this product so much i buy it at least twice a month it has replaced sugar 100% in my home .Yes you may fart here and there if you use a little more than you should and yes there is a small chance you will eat way more than you should and painful explosive diarrhoea can happen.Yet if you spread it out in your morning coffee ,microwave muffins ,whatever you use sugar in this is still a great replacement .Not just great, amazing .It helps stomach flora and your teeth .I haven't had a toothace in a very long time ,my son had one monthly until he made the switch .It doesn't at all effect your glucose levels and makes baked goods not as rich .i do not miss sugar at all from coffee to cheese cakes and even cotton candy anything sugar used to do this just does it better ,since i literally feel heartier look healthier lost weight and my teeth feel stronger .I would say if you don't think it tastes as 100% as good as sugar its still 1million times better because it's sweet and adds health benefits instead if killing people unlike its evil twin sugar .There is no disgusting taste like most sweeneters and as long as you don't eat that second or third baked good or bowl of icecream you made with it gas shouldn't be too much of an issue .You may wonder why it says gluten free ,it's because many companies use wheat to produce erythritol so this means it uses corn and vegetables and fruits to make it other than wheat .that's why it's also the only brand I use

Will absolutely buy again
Great product, better price than the overpriced others. Doesn’t contain corn maltodextrin like many others, and works beautifully in my recipes. I do find it has a sweeter taste than real sugar, so adjust accordingly the first few times to find your preference, and the The taste isn’t exactly the same as sugar, but that’s a characteristic of erythritol.. I sometimes mix with a granular stevia depending on what I’m makingWorks wonderful for Keto me and my Diabetic hubby

Very high in carbs/net carbs
Being on a keto diet, 12g carbs/net carbs per serving is exceedingly high, considering competitors selling same thing with only 4g carbs/net carbs per serving, this is a huge difference. I purchased 2 of these, they taste fine, good quality, but for a keto diet, I cannot purchase this brand again, when Keto dieters are only allowed 20 net carbs per day, 1 tbsp. of this product consumes over half of my daily allowance.

Excellent product for an excellent price
Excellent product for an excellent price.I had a hard time in the Amazon cart with this product. It kept wanting to charge me an incredible shipping charge even though the product was free shipping with minimum order which I has exceeded. When purchasing a different order it was on my recommended list. So I added it to my cart for fun. This time it had a proper no shipping charge. I will order again. Hope I don't get the same Amazon BS that would prevent the order. Also I am an experience Amazon purchaser. The issues above were not user error.

Worth grinding it and more affordable than swerve
It sure taste good with a slight cooling effect. I bought it mostly to grind fine for a icing sugar alternative.
