Must read! Riveting and relevant!
I really couldn’t put this down. The storyline is so relevant to the reality of what we are doing to our planet, but aside from that, it’s a page turner with brilliant twists. I loved the characters, and found myself fiercely rooting for Kaia but shocked and terrified by the choices she has to make along the way and the destiny of loved ones around her. It’s so unpredictable and cleverly written. The author created a science based, yet fantastic, thriller, with some real lessons woven in. I’d want everyone to read it for so many reasons. Looking forward to more from this author. It’s a gift :)

imaginative
number one thing I look for in a novel is a good story this novel does have a very imaginative story line clever in how it jumped time lines and its mankind against himself and it basic theme is the environment with good strong characters....the novel also introduces some interesting and different points of views on history anthropology archeology etc combining his obvious knowledge of science with an artist touch

A simple climate change story, steeped in our current climate.
The story was interesting, but very light and transparent. If you are looking for Science Fiction that centers around today’s issues, this is actually a fairly good read. I found that I pretty well anticipated a good amount of the actual story (and accurately). That kind of takes the edge off of it. Those pieces meant to be real science were quite well researched, and presented in a readable, and understandable fashion. Personally, I read SciFi for entertainment/escapism. This story appears to be more geared to generating serious thought and discussion. I happen to agree with the books point of view, but that’s not my real interest in SciFi. For me, it was an OK story.

HOPE?
This novel ties together much we know and much we guess (and write about in fiction). It is a tour de force of imagination, really a piece of genius! I tore through it because of that quality of writing and story-telling. I am not a scientist; I am a humanist. I have always admired the scietifically-minded because I could not and cannot do it---mathematics is more an impossible foreign language than anything in my experience. However, this novel sparked my imagination and admiration, and I might add, envy---I wish I had put it together as eloquently as Mr. Davidson. More than that, this novel is a warning and an encouragement: a warning that the human species is about to tip the balance of nature against us and it is an encouragement because we, as a species, can do this...if we only wake up to the disaster that is heading with full force toward us. Thank you, Mr. Davidson for writing this novel. I encourage all, whether you are a sci-fi fan or not, to read it ...and take to heart!

A true Adventure story.
We’ll first off, this does play on the whole future/past time traveling notions. Second, toward end you see that this a reversal of the way the story was leading. I was not expecting the that our ancient ancestors occupied the planet, even more strange, they were much more of an advanced civilization than what we amounted to. In all in all a great trilogy of stories

Read the books
Unsure whether I wanted to hurry through this because I was bored or because I wanted to see what happened next but I was eager for it to end. Good premise. I caught onto the names early on. Love the message. Probably not a re-read for me.

A harmless bit of fun
If you're worried about climate change, this book can give you a little bit of hope and put a smile on your face. Nothing too dark, with a nice twist near the end to do with Ancient Aliens. A little journey worth taking.

A brilliant written story link our last to the present
A well crafted story, last and present woven together and linked by the misuse of our plants resources. Some great sfi technology, mixed in with climate change events and theories.

A very enjoyable trilogy
I have to admit to a little surprise when I found that AW Davidson hadn't written any other books as this doesn't feel like the opening opus of a new writer. I'm sure there's plenty that could be improved but I enjoyed the writing style, the characters were believable and I found that I wanted to know their stories. The ending was left open so I assume that we haven't heard the last of these characters yet. But whether the author returns to add to their story or whether he comes up with something new, I shall look forward to reading more.
