One year old, still works just fine. I did have to put some black electrical tape on the light-bulb that is on the underside it (could help navigate ships past a rocky shoreline...it was so bright). But it does what I need it to do.

I first want to highlight the issue that this manufacturer is simply repackaging returned products and reselling it as new ones. How do I know? I ordered this item twice, the first time I received it, the tank already contained stains and there were already scratches on the outside (Obviously from usage).I returned it immediately and Amazon offered to send me a replacement for free which I opted. When I received the second one, it also had a stains in the tank already and some light scratches indicating that someone tried to clean them out but was not successful.Since I am still in need of a humidifier, I decided to try it out. Followed all instructions in the manual and loaded the humidifier with distilled water. The device just turns on with it's lights staying solid red and does not do anything else. None of the buttons work either. So I did some googling and found that some people suggested to load the water levels higher which I tried and even filling the water levels to the top with no results.This would explain why the products I received were returns because these humidifiers just don't work and so the manufacturers are just repacking them and hoping for an alternative result.The item is complete trash in quality and I would not be surprised if the previous positive reviews are from the manufacturer. Returning this pos first thing tomorrow. Stay away!

I live in an arid desert so I have to run my humidifier 24/7. After the 1st winter the motor did get slightly louder, but just slightly. I keep it in the middle of my house and because our water is so hard I only use the purified water I get from the water store, otherwise I'd have that white dust everywhere. I like this unit because it's easy to refill, easy to clean and like that I can set the humidity level and fan power.

This is by far the easiest and quietest machine so far. Glad we bought it. Does the work of 2 of our different smaller units

I purchased this humidifier from Home Depot a year ago, but felt a review was needed as I have been more than pleased with this product. I purchased two and I am purchasing another now that our 2yr old (not this brand) died two days after the warranty expired.The unit is lightweight, no filters, does not leave white film on surfaces, easy to clean, accurate and consistent humidity levels in my home.The unit does need to be on a level surface to perform effectively. I’ve seen a few reviews that mentioned the unit not working and I found my issue the unit not being level.

Easy to fill. Each fill lasts a little over 24 hours. Nice look.Two things could be better. If you let it run out of water you need to reset your program. Secondly, it repeatedly flashes your setting than repeatedly the actual. Better would be a constant rotation of info. Neither of these are huge issues; but it’s why I didn’t rate product 5*.

Do not buy this unit. Even after cleaning it will not work after only a couple months of service. Humidity volume very low when it actually was working, despite control settings. Control buttons also began to fail after only 2 months of use.

Pros:1. Effective humidification2. Humidity control3. Quiet4. Easy to fillCons:1. User controls don't match the user manual. E.g., "Min/Max" button only responds for a few seconds after you power it on but manual says it should be available always. I had to learn the work-around by experimenting. This is a poor software design."2. Buttons have no tactile response so if nothing happens one is left wondering if the unit isn't working or the button wasn't pressed correctly. (See item 1 above.)3. The blue light is annoying at night and should be able to be turned off.4. Settings are lost if you power it down. E.g., humidity target level.
