Autumn softly fell
Well now i am captivated by this story and I have come to the end. There must be more so I will look for The Brannans Family Saga Book 2) if there is such a book, there has to be. Well written and not at all what I was expecting, despite that I have really enjoyed this read.

A very pleasant read!
This is the second book I have read by this author and is the first of a trilogy. Have enjoyed it and fully intend to read the entire trilogy. I would say these are ‘gentle books’ and a nice easy read, but not what I would term Exciting. Good basic story line with lots of description so that you can clearly ‘see’ how things were then.

Publishers have obviously never heard of proofreading
The story was OK, I didn’t love it, and I’m not sure I’ll bother downloading the next one. What really put me off though was the volume of typos - I’ve never read such an awful quality Kindle book. I tweeted the publishers but never got a response. The end of the book actually asks you to report errors, which makes me suspect they just can’t be bothered to pay proofreaders!

Evocative
This book had rememberances of other captivating stories, where the landscape is remembered in fine detail. Where a young girl grows up, and takes life head on.

Proof read???
Does nobody proof read these books. It was spoilt for me by so many typos, wrongly placed words, etc. A good story spoiled.

A gentle tale.
What a lovely gentle Edwardian tale. This story is similar to the Secret Garden, but also nothing like it !I enjoyed reading about Dorothea and of her new life, far from the London slums.
