Oregon 40-142 Edger Blade 9 inch x 2 inch

I can buy generic, similar blades at 30 cents/blade from Alibaba (not same quality but at a fraction of this pricey blade).My estimate is that the cheap/generic blades last about 60% to 70% of the OREGON blade but cost ONLY less than 10% of what the OREGON blade costs.Btw, for enthusiasts of "made in the USA", may be disappointed by becoming aware that OREGON blades are made in China (verified by contacting the company via e-mail). See attached photo.

Good quality. I could not find this blade with a 1-inch hole and 8.5 inch length, locally. This piece of steel isn’t rocket science, but it works fine, fits my modified STIHL stick edger perfectly. I grind a sharp edge on the blade and use it to trim asiatic jasmine, cuts through the tough vines like butter, clean and fast.

Replaces the 9 in Ryobi serrated blade on my add on edger. This blade works fine. The original type Ryobi blade is not available except at extremely high cost.
