A Hallmark movie wrapped in a hug….
The “storm of the century” is on its way to Peachtree Bluff, reeking havoc on the holiday break. While the Murphy sisters evacuate to New York, the rest of the clan is forced to shelter in place during one the worst hurricanes to hit the island; all thanks to the recklessness of teenage Vivi.Determined to rescue their family, the Murphy sisters decide that if they can’t get to the island by land or air, they will sail to Peachtree Bluff on Caroline’s boat. They HAVE TO save their family and the beloved island they call home, just in time for Christmas. This is a beautiful story of family love mixed with a little drama, and the events that take place when a family pulls together; when it REALLY matters. All the small town family traditions made me miss being surrounded by my (very large) family at Christmas time.I felt like I was actually there; walking the streets of Peachtree Bluff and sipping hot chocolate with the locals at the tree lighting ceremony. This book is a Hallmark movie wrapped in a big hug; it’s a whole FEELING. It’s a story of second chance romance and childhood love (my FAVORITE romance trope.) And don’t think I didn’t Google if it’s an actual place, because I definitely did. 😆I’ll miss the Murphy women and their FIERCE love for each other! 5 GLORIOUS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"A magical tale that will simply capture your holiday heart'
In CHRISTMAS AT PEACHTREE BLUFF, Kristy Woodson Harvey transports the reader to the quaint coastal Georgia town for a heartwarming Christmas tale of family, friendship, new beginnings, and finding a home and a chance at unexpected love when you're not even looking. The author has made Christmas miracles come true for all book lovers and readers out there who have fallen in love with this series and the Murphy women. One of my favorites! In this fourth book, a lot is happening in the small coastal town of Peachtree Bluff, GA!Jack and Ansley are set to finally go on a vacation that they have planned forever. They deserve some time alone. After all, they have waited years. However, fate steps in and their simple life turns into anything but. Now they are stuck with a teenager (and not a happy one, at that).Caroline and her husband, James are divorcing and now their teen daughter Vivi is not happy with life and wants to be miserable. Now she is supposed to go on this trip with her grandmother and Jack. However, right before they are leaving, the biggest hurricane is approaching and this time they must take it seriously. The town is shutting down and the other daughters and family members have left for New York. The bridge is closed and now Viva is missing after hearing some news.Too late to leave for the trip now, Ashley and Jack are frantic trying to put up shutters on the houses and prepare for the impending storm and now they are searching for their missing granddaughter. In all the drama Viva meets Tyler (hope we see him again-love) a local boy that changes her mind about the town. A nice little romance here. Kyle and Emerson have some exciting news, we get more beautiful letters. Sloane and Adam get some surprises. Caroline reunites with an old friend from the past, the business has some special news, Jack finds a treasure for Ansley and the girls, and best of all, a magical enchanting Christmas for all!I LOVED THIS BOOK! I love all the characters and so much fun catching up with friends and family of Peachtree Bluff. Now we must continue this in future books with generations to come. Maybe another Christmas book down the road, please, and prime for a Hallmark movie!A beautiful novel about a little coastal town you'll want to visit, and a love story of a family you won't soon forget. Magical. Nostalgic. Heartwarming. Full of adventure and romance! Highly recommend for book clubs and holiday gifts.I adore NC authors and have been a fan since her debut and read every subsequent book. Here we are at number eight, and she just keeps getting better and better with her winning signature style."If we let them, even our largest challenges can be our greatest allies."#JDCMustReadBooks@JudithDCollinsMy Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Pub Date: Oct 26, 2021

perfect book for the Christmas holiday season
As we revisit the Murphy women we know and love, this book reminds us why we love their strength which gets them through whatever life hands out, including a late hurricane as Christmas is approaching. It's full of resilience, community, secrets, unexpected treasures, family, love, and Christmas. As each member weathers the storms of life, they learn to appreciate what they have, and how to find joy in the magic of the season.Cozy book which has all of the warmth of the holiday season!**received an ARC from netgalley**

Heartwarming story
It’s lovely to be able to return to Peachtree Bluff! A lot has changed for Ansley and her daughters, but some things haven’t changed—the fierce love of this family and the charm of this coastal town. I loved catching up with everyone, these women who I’ve cared about for so long, spending time with them during the holidays. All of them are navigating changes in their lives, but when the biggest change of all comes along—Hurricane Pearl—threatening everything they hold dear, they must once again rely on their love and unwavering support of each other to get through. Small town charm, a heart-warming story, delightful characters, and the holidays all add up to the perfect book for the holidays! I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

OTT??!
I loved the first three Peachtree books but oh dear! This one! This family now owns several houses in the town, apparently in prime locations - I got mixed up whose was which - as well as luxurious boats. One of the houses was virtually demolished in the huge storm but the owner, Caroline, who discovers she has no insurance, just says “oh dear - never mind, I’ll let my sister and husband have the plot”. That’s how rich they all are. Somehow I found their attitudes, and the rather cloying affections over the top, when in the first novel I felt tremendous sympathy for the family (mother and three daughters) in New York who lost the husband and father in 9/11, leaving them with nothing but an old house in Peachtree. They’ve come a long, long way since then!!! Christmas there seems one long celebration with happy townsfolk - tho this may be true of some of the lovely east coast resorts of the USA. Again - sounds lovely but maybe just a little OTT to us Brits?!
