MINKA-AIREF845-DK Light Wave LED 44" Distressed Koa Low Profile Ceiling Fan with Light, Remote Control and 3.5 Inch Downrod

I purchased two of these to replace some very ugly fans in my living room. Since my ceiling is not very high, I opted for the 3.5" downrod. I had them professionally installed because installation is a bit tricky (it took the electrician 1.5 hours for 2 fans), but they work wonderfully and give the room a much needed modern upgrade. Since the two fans are the same model, they are controlled by the same remote (i.e. you can't have 2 remotes to operate them), but this doesn't bother me. The light is VERY bright (almost too bright) and even one of them lights up the room (14'x21') very well. This is the second room in my house with a distressed koa Minka fan and I'm very happy with the purchase. They do require a break-in period of being run to stop a slight rattling sound, so hopefully that will resolve like the manufacturer says after 24 hours.
