Why do the department stores sell a 1.7oz bottle and this one is 1.6oz?

I had a sample of MP that starts like a berry, fruity bomb, like WOW sooo amazing then it fades shortly (30 minutes) to something that is so different, that I wouldn't ever ware, now this Amazon bottle with the so many good reviews made me want to buy especially for the cheaper price, and it was good, delicate, Feminine, kinda linear from start to end, its not the same , im not sure which one is the original though the first one is closer to the notes of the real perfume and it had a pink juice, this one is almost clear, but you know what I kept the Amazon bottle and got rid of the first one, its nice regardless of who ever made it.

I surprised my office mate with this perfume to lift up her spirit. I knew she liked "fruity, sweet, candy-like" scents in perfumes. I have never smelled this and I just went by what other reviewers said. I took a shot at it and so far it delivered! PACKAGING - Exudes elegance! She said the bottle is very pretty! SCENT - EXACTLY what she would like and spray it on immediately after receipt :) PRICE POINT - Affordable if you get this while on a discounted price.
