Great tool when used properly.
I see some of the people in the videos using this completely wrong. It's a great product. The people making the videos of it failing have no idea how to run wire. I keep mine in a little canvas tote with the rest of cable management tools. It's relatively lightweight, safe, was not expensive for what it does when it is used right. It's a great tool for short runs. Easy to use when you know what you're doing, and we all know Klein is the king of cable management, so I trust it will last a long time.

Fantastic Product
I was seriously skeptical at first when looking into this product while working on an Home ethernet wiring project. Out of all of the other available tools, including different techniques, this was the most effective and easiest solution to use. After finishing my home ethernet wiring project, I cannot imagine completing it without this tool. I can tell you that it was a seriously frustrating experience having ethernet get hung up on the inside of the wall even when using fish tape, or other common wire pulling methods until I bought this and totally made the process go fast. I ended up completely nearly 20+ ethernet runs back to my MDF in my home in a single weekend. If you're doing any ethernet home wiring project, you've gotta get this.

Perfect tool!
Awesome tool! Works like a charm. Fights metal studs but it’s manageable. Strong magnet on each piece to make a great connection inside drywall.

Super handy tool
Not 5 stars because the magnets are strong but, not dangerously so and the clips are a little hard to work. But man this thing comes in handy when you need it. Tough not to justify the purchase if you ever run stuff in a wall. Don’t for get the tape too.

Super strong magnet
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Star Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Hey everyone, I wanted to share my thoughts on the Klein Magnetic Puller that I recently used for fishing electrical wires inside walls, even with insulation. Overall, it's a great tool that gets the job done efficiently, but there are a few things to keep in mind. 🧲🔌Let's start with the positives - the magnet on this puller is incredibly strong! It does an excellent job of attracting and pulling wires through tight spaces and around obstacles. It definitely made my wiring tasks much easier and saved me a lot of time and effort. 👍💪However, there's an important note of caution when opening the case for the first time. The magnet inside if not securely held in place within the case, which can lead to it flying towards the magnetic roller puller at high speed if not handled properly. This can potentially cause injury or damage if you're not careful. So please be cautious while opening the case and handle it with care! Safety should always come first! 🚧✋Once you're aware of this potential issue and take appropriate precautions during use, this magnetic puller proves to be an invaluable tool for your electrical installs. Just remember to exercise caution during setup. All in all, despite its minor flaw regarding handling when opening the case initially, I highly recommend Klein's Magnetic Puller for anyone needing assistance with fishing electrical wires through insulated walls or tight spaces. Its powerful magnetism will make your wire-pulling tasks much smoother and more efficient!#KleinMagneticPuller #EfficientWireFishing #SafetyFirst

Buy one! It can pay for itself on the first job!
For $65, it is crazy not to buy this magnet set. Strength wise it is very comparable to the Magnepull that costs twice as much. I have tested this in the shop and showed it to some of our electricians. My experiences come from the Magnepull but should translate directly to this Klein tool. For simple wood studs with one layer of drywall and no insulation, it is a simple process. Drill a hole at the top of the wall, drop the leader down and find it with the magnet handle. You can easily pull it down to your box location below. If there is insulation in the wall, move the magnet handle in short up and down shimmy motions and it will pull through fine. With double layer rock there isn't as much magnetism but in an uninsulated wall should work fine. If you are going from an attic to a basement, drill your top and bottom holes, drop a jack chain down the wall and shove the magnetic leader up the hole to catch it.It does work great in commercial metal stud environments. That is where I mainly used it. It is awesome for finding studs. If you are careful, it will also find buried metal boxes (you'll feel magnetism at the start of the plaster ring, then a dead spot, then magnetism for the other side of the ring). If you are fishing down the walls, just pay attention to where your studs are. Make your top hole in the middle of the stud space and pull straight down. Once you are closer to the box you can make a turn and exit the wall. That will limit your changes of it catching on a stud. This is an amazing tool and the price point is exceptional.

This will allow you to do some "impossible" 90 degree wire runs.
Most of the product demonstrations show people pulling in a straight line. That's easy enough without a magnet. What if you want to go across studs horizontally and then up vertically? Normally, you would have to start cutting your drywall at this point. Not with this thing! Use a long 1" drill bit(3/4" is too small, it's got a big head), push it along with fish tape across studs, then when you get to your drop catch it with the magnet. It feels like youre a wall surgeon the first time you do it right! Anyone who's ever wished their fish tape could go in an L shape will know what I'm talking about.
