I wanted to wait a bit after I started taking this suppliment-it's only been 3 weeks & I don't think i'll notice the results I want for a couple months. Mainly, my problem is weak, splitting, chipping, & breaking fingernails. All my life I had the strongest and thickest nails, but the last 3 yrs I can barely grow them past my fingertips, especially on the middle fingers which chip and peel at about 3/4th from the fingertip, despite my trying to keep them short and always covered with strengthened and polishes. I'm pretty healthy & eat right, take lots of vitamins, but I now take prescriptions for high blood pressure, depression, and pain from bone degeneration- one of these has to be at fault. I've been taking some other powders from Bulk Suppliments, in hopes of cutting back on scripts. This company's products so far are a GREAT deal for the money, easy to take in a juice, and you don't get the sick feeling of taking multiple gelatin capsules. This biotin's suggested dose is actually 1/64th of a teaspoon! It's a completely flavorless & finely ground- you can just take a tiny bit on your fingertip from a 1/8 tsp measure spoon, and you're done! I saw a lot of great reviews so I'm looking forward to faster hair growth too- as a stylist, I do a lot of various colors and cuts, but like longer hair. I'm confidant this is a great product, so I will update later! I bought the $20 bag, so I will be taking this faithfully for the next few years. The bag is really thick, resealable & insulated, btw.

Very gritty as well. Settled to the bottom of whatever you try to mix it with.I’m not going to give up yet I wanna see if I get any benefits from this. Guess it’s time to drag out the blender😂

I bought this to help my hair and skin. It seems fresh and good quality. I bought the smallest bag will probably last over a year. You use just a tiny bit which is 99% calcium. This just shows you how capsules are loaded with fillers.The price is great and I love that there are no fillers. However, the bag is a pain so I put it in another container with a desiccant from a bottle of vitamins. I wish Bulk Supplements would tape on a sealed desiccant to each order if they don't want to include it inside the package. Moisture will ruin the powder by introducing bacteria and fungus. I can't understand why they don't include it, everyone else does. That is why I gave 4 starts instead of 5.

I'm getting older and realizing I need to be taking better care of myself. My hair seems to be thinning and I'm not yet ready to begin my career as a Telly Savalas impersonator.. I've read that supplementing with biotin could slow the thinning and strengthen what remains and bulk powder seemed to give me the most bang for my buck. A very small dose is all that's needed and it's undetectable in any liquid. You can even take it without water. It doesn't really taste like anything at all. After a couple of weeks of semi-regular use, it seems to be working. I'm noticing much less fallout and even my nails are growing faster and healthier. I'm very happy so far and just purchased a capsule filling machine so I can hopefully get on a more regular schedule of taking this every morning.(I'm not a morning person and I'm typically short on time before I must leave for work, lol) If you're looking to save some hair or improve the health of your hair and nails, give it a try. The dose is tiny, so the bag will last forever.

Which makes me think that most biotin in bottles is trash. It does not dissolve and is so heavy, so it sinks to the bottom of glass. I have been using a spoon into mouth and chasing it with water. I suspect I will buy gel caps and stuff them in the near future, but the spoon is fast, and the grit goes away quickly. Feels like baking soda but has little or no taste.

This product is essentially good. I use it on my cat's food and the itchy spot on his rump is improved. My complaint is not with the product, but with the packaging. It doesn't take long for the liner of the bag, some kind of metallic coating, to begin to flake off in tiny bits and contaminate the product. Recommend putting all the Bulk Supplements in a clean glass jar upon receipt. And no there is no dessicant to help you keep it dry.
