This guidebook on Machu Picchu was as described - used in very good condition. There were a few dog-eared pages, which was fine. The previous owner left their actual ticket to Machu Picchu from 2013 in the book, which we thought was cool.

Completed this trail last year. This book is a must have and definitely provides more than enough detail for various hikes so that you can complete them independently.

Although this book was invaluable on my trip to the Inca Trail, Cusco & Machu Picchu, I was not able to experience all the treks and trails included in this little volume ...but I want to! If you plan to go, this is one of the absolutely invaluable publications you should have!

Rated it lower but realized the author includes part of what most people consider as the salkantay trail as the santa teresa trail. Still wished there was more info on it. Great book though.

Very good guide with excellent trail descriptions, tips on what to expect during your stay and how to get organized to make the most out of it.The book is not just a guide as the author provides a very good historical and socio-cultural background to help the first time visitor understand and enjoy fully Peru.The chapters are packed with details from the many visits of the author to Peru and Bolivia. They provide great tips for different hiking levels, budgets and interests.

This seems to be the "go to" book for going to Peru and especially to Machu Picchu. Basically every question that I have had, that was not directly related to the specific group with whom I will be traveling, was contained here and the answer was easy to find.

Has a lot of information in it. May be slightly out of date now though but it worked well for us on our trip

Great book. Very informative and good pictures and maps.

I'm going to Peru to trek the Inca Trail in May and this book looks amazing. I've only read the intro and skimmed the rest, but it's packed full of maps and information. I can't wait to read the rest! It's also not huge so I can take it away with me and not worry about the weight of it.

This is the most informative and practical book that I found about Cusco and it has lots of helpful information. I would highly recommend this to anyone going to Cusco and the surrounding areas.

Really good for history and culture, looking forward to using on my trip!
