Everything is great, except the paint. Revised review
We just barely received the D day model kit for my son and everything looks fine except the paint is bone dry. They’re probably was only about three paint That wasn’t out of the 12. Not sure we add water to it, but it does suck that we have to figure out how to use those paints. My son contacted the makers and they were the best customer service and is sending paint to replace those dry paint. So five stars now for sure!

Great detail
It's the perfect gift for a model making enthusiast. I recommend you buy accompanying paints though.

Type of plastic is bad
This kit is nice for a beginner or a kid doing something for school, but not a quality set. The building and set pieces are great, but the soldiers are very rubbery and hard to clean even with a knife because it is too soft. The kit looks good together, but took a ton of work to get the soldiers to look good. If they used the same plastic as with the building and tanks, I would have given it 4 or 5 stars. But the price was good, so I'm not too upset

Great value, dated quality.
For what you pay for, it's worth the money. If you want to take your time building and painting the diorama, you easily have upwards of ten hours' worth here. You are also given a generous amount of accessories to add to the diorama, such as oil barrels, miscellaneous crates, pick axes, shovels, bicycles...all sorts. You can therefore be quite creative with the layout. I also found that I had quite a lot of paint and glue left over at the end, which is handy. The brushes are also of a reasonable quality. The downside is how dated the models are - the parts of the house are labelled "Airfix 1975"! This explains the poor fittings of some of the components. The tanks are quite precarious to put together, and noticeable gaps in the joins are unavoidable. The soldiers are also made of a plastic that has quite a glossy finish, meaning that once the paint has dried, it simply flakes off.In summary, good value for money considering how much you get, but the quality of the models themselves is dubious.
