Q: Can you cook them with these attached?

You can cook with the holders attached only if you are boiling the ears of corn. The holders are made of high quality food-grade plastic, but they are not cookware, and if exposed to high temperature such as from a broiler, air fryer, or barbecue grill, they will begin to melt. The boiling water temperature will not exceed 212 degrees Farenheit, and will not pose a problem. We actually prefer the grilled corn, and we simply attach the holders when the corn is ready to eat--no problem. These holders are THE BEST!

We've never tried that. We always screw them in afterwards. I'm certain you would not be able to hold them right out of the boiling water, but they should cool fast.
