I had previously bought a few of the Kasa 1080p indoor pan/tilt corded cameras and liked them a lot. I tried these 2K cameras and they seem to be about the same. Still a fan (though I don't really see that the picture is a lot better on the 2K than on the 1080p cameras). They are easy to set up, have a good range of motion and a good picture. They are very quiet in the room when the pan motors are running, so they don't disturb the monitored occupant. The night vision works pretty well, at least inside the house. They are not very good for looking out a window from inside at night. They are fairly inexpensive and pretty versatile for indoor monitor cameras. I have had some challenges with recording video on the micro sd card and then transferring that video to another device (like my laptop), though that was with the 1080p cameras and I haven't tried it yet with the 2K version.

The Kasa Smart Camera works perfectly! The video quality is clear and sharp, even at night, and the motion detection is very accurate. Setup was quick and easy through the app, and I love being able to check my home from anywhere. The camera connection is stable, and the notifications arrive fast. It gives me peace of mind and works exactly as expected. Great quality for the price — highly recommend!

I bought this to see what my pet does all day. Which is not much. Haha. I also like being able to just pop in at my house if I’m away or just to see what is going on. The quality is amazing! I got the 2k camera. It was easy to set up and connect to our router. I love being able to remote pan and tilt it. The viewing area is pretty large but in the app, you can zoom in (but if you go too far, it seems to create a glitch and blacks out, spins, and then brings you to your phone window). So just don’t over zoom in. I sometimes takes screenshots but the app lets you press a picture mode. It’s also great because you can turn on a mic and talk through the phone app to the camera. I called my dog’s name to test and she was definitely confused. Lol. Depending on connectivity however, smoothness of video and quality of mic can be delayed or break up. Not a big deal for me. You can also set the image quality to 3 different levels with the 2k. I usually go with the middle one hoping it allows less lag and possibly smoother quality. I also like that I don’t need a subscription. I just check in when I want in the free downloadable app, but I also like there’s an option to buy an SD card if you want to store any imaging. I might buy an SD card to see how much it can hold. I also found out my colleague has this same camera after showing off my cool camera and what my pet was doing! We both love this camera!

I love how I don’t have to pay subscription with these. Just need a micro SD and it will record in a loop. I think I have a 250GB and it will record about a month worth of continuous video. After it’s full it’ll start recording over the old video. It’s pretty good quality video. It lags on the movement so it’ll take a little bit to get it exactly where you want it. There are 4 save spots for your recording position so you don’t have to move it after you save it. I wish it would show more of my room like my old camera did. My old camera would show all of my room but this one shows a little more than half. If you want a recording you have to physically record it yourself which is annoying but I guess that’s what you get for a continuous recording. I liked this camera enough to buy 3 to replace the others.

One of my guinea pigs passed away in a super traumatic way, so now I get paranoid about my furry daughters when I'm not home to check on them. This cam has relieved my anxiety so many times. The quality is so amazing that I can zoom in and actually see them breathing lol. The lighting is awesome, even in the dark. I love that I can talk to them with the microphone. It's just an overall super great product that has been working perfectly well for about 9 months now. It was super easy to set up above their cage.

Works better than my security camera system I spent $100’s of dollars on.

Pleasantly surprised by this camera. The video quality is actually pretty good on 720p and amazing on 2k. Good sound quality on the speaker. Mic works very well. Pan and tilt function works as expected. I have the camera on a shelf rather than attached to the ceiling so had to flip the view in the app in order to see right side up. The biggest issue I had was the camera would not connect to mobile data to view remotely. Contacted technical support who steered me to the section where I could adjust the settings and it connected right afterwards. With this camera you can view live feed while away from home which is why I purchased this camera. Definitely worth the price I paid. Update: Uprated to 5 stars. Now that I'm familiar with the app I find that the camera is definitely worth the price I paid to be able to monitor my home while away. So much so, I purchased the 1080p model. It's not the 2k camera but it sure works well and the picture is sharp! Absolutely love these cameras! The only weird thing is, not that it affects the camera at all, when using the mic on the app, the 2K model you can press andvlet go of the mic symbol to activate the talk feature, then press and let got to deactivate the mic. On the 1080p model, you have to hold the mic button while talking. Plus, the app beeps when ever you press or let go of the button, kind of like the Roger beep on a two way radio. And there is no setting to reconfigure this function from what I can tell. It's a little annoying but I can get past it. Overall, I am glad I purchased these cameras. They give me the comfort of being able to check up on my home while I'm away. I'm picking up a couple more cameras so I can have full coverage of my home. Stil highly recommend these Kasa cameras.

Bear with me please- What the absolute heck Kasa?!? You advertised white cords with a white camera and it came in with a black cord. I’m actually pretty upset about this because unless I cut holes in my wall to fish the cord through, it’s going to look like crap and messy against my white wall. At least if the cord was white we could have pretended not to see it or at least it wouldn’t be so noticeable until we’re in a better place to purchase a fish hook and have the time to fish it through. It’s not hard per se but it’s tedious. ✅ Look, the camera itself is actually great. Fantastic really. It’s a really, really fair price for what you get and the picture and sound quality is phenomenal. This camera WILL make me feel safer. It’s got a fantastic zoom, the view is wide and shows everything, and it’s really easy to install. If that’s all you want then this is for you. The CON part applies very specifically to a certain personality trait. I actually love the camera. ❌ But my SO has some serious ODC tendencies that something like this can ruin his whole day. I understand it seems minimal, but not when you have a partner who needs everything in its place. I’m talking organizing pantry cans/boxes, labeling them all with expiration date, laser lining, organized by type (pasta, cans, rice, beans, etc). And that’s just the pantry. I’m not even allowed to hang his laundry up because “I do it wrong.” Which is okay. I’m a lot more flexible and patient. We’ve adapted and he’s a great guy. If it’s not the way he sees as “correct,” it can seriously ruin his entire day, mood swings, refusal to talk. I know, I know. To a lot of people this isn’t a huge deal but when you deal with folks on spectrum it is a HUGE deal. The photo advertises a white cords, but it’s a black cord and it’s no longer USBC. I planned on using this camera in a higher traffic area and put the 1080p camera here (photo) but due to the cord color I had to switch the better 2k camera to a lesser traffic area to “hide” the cord from his daily view. Yes we’re covered, yes it does exactly when it’s supposed to and yes, our house is secure. But you need to update your advertisement posting with an accurate photo because it seems like you put your 1080p camera on your 2k camera posting. I would have bought the cheaper 1080p and saved money if I knew the cord would be black. Please advertise correctly and also, don’t put a black cord with the white camera. 🙄 For the neurotypical folks, it’s a great camera and does exactly what you need it too. If you can ignore the cord color then definitely purchase this. For the neurodivergent folks, this might bug the crud out of you. You’ll have to decide what matters most to you.

Yes, these do come with a US style wall charger but work with any USB charger It means I can keep my plan of Kasa in one house and Tapo in the other Makes it easier to identify even though the Tapo app can separate them

Brilliant camera. Love that I din’t have to purchase a subscription. Sound and picture are fantastic. Well worth the price

Best camera on the market for the price, very good night vision, great quality and very easy software to use. Great movement sensor, following your kid. Can check your kid anywhere from the phone live.
