Iwata gets a BIG nod over badger.
A really good air brush. I also bought the Badger Krome, which is very similar, at the same time. I prefer the Iwata, and see myself using it more than the Badger. There was only about 30 or 40 bucks difference, and worth spending the extra for this one. One reason I prefer the Iwata, is the cleaning. Less of a hassle taking and putting everything back together. Especially the trigger mechanism. The badger has a separate small lever behind the trigger, the Iwata has it integrated into another piece, and so much easier to get back in. Badger made it harder to get the little lever back in behind the trigger. The badger does have a plus, you can control the amount of air coming out by a simple screw in the body, and it will hold that amount until you change it. The Iwata you have to control it with your finger constantly and is harder to keep it at a regular rate, especially when painting something like a model where you need something constant rather than a high/low spray all the time. That does take getting used to. Still, I like both, but the Iwata gets the extra point. The Badger also came with an extra needle, the Iwata doesn't. And they are not really cheap either. Iwata does also have some excellent customer service. (I had to contact them several times, not about the brush, but other items, they sent me several things totally free, with out me asking. I wanted some extra filters for their cleaning station and couldn't find any, they just sent me some along with the rubber tip on the jar. I needed an adapter to accept the hose mounting on a manifold I bought of theirs, they just sent me one after she had her tech guy go and find one. Really great people. But this is off subject, just letting you know the great customer service they have. I did contact badger once, no reply. I will let you make your own decision on that.)After about 18 months, I still prefer the Iwata. I use it about 99% of the time. The reason, really, is the Badger just doesn't want to spray paint. I don't do anything different, and I clean them meticulously, but the Badger has always given me problems. I finally decided to write to them, but going by past experience, I am not confident they will answer. So, in short, I would most definitely buy the Iwata again. The trigger, as it turns out, is not hard to use and get used to, and have never found it to be a problem.

Excellent quality airbrush
Nice quality airbrush with a very nice chrome finish. My first airbrush but seems pretty easy to control, has a nice feel. Easy to disassemble and clean. Very pleased with it so far.

Iwata hp-cs
I purchased this gun after attending airbrush action's 3-day fall getaway 2011(airbrush workshop) in Las Vegas, NV. I already have two other iwata's; the hp-bcs which gives a larger pattern and puts out more material, and the hp-c+ which has the finer needle and teflon packing for use with solvents. both are great; of course-they are Iwata's.But i decided to purchase this gun, partially because our instructor at the getaway uses it. (Jonathan Pantaleon) It's tip and nozzle is not much larger than my hp-c+. What i like about it is that it has the potential to both spray a larger pattern, and still makes sharp lines for detail; in short, its a well rounded universal gun! I have not used it alot since attending the airbrush workshop, but i used for two solid days in Vegas, and have played with it at home enough to decide that it was a good purchase. I would recommend this gun for beginners as well.Another thing i got out of the airbrush workshop, after talking with another student about his Iwata Micron, is that i did not want to get a micron (i had previously considered skipping the airbrush getaway to buy a micron instead- about the same cost) he told me that he spends alot of time cleaning it cause it clogs alot. And he is not an amateur painter just for the note, i assumed that he thins his paints well enough to the right consistency for spraying. Yes i rambled a little here, but while we're discussing guns, thought someone could benefit from the extra info...one more thing for beginners; NEVER DROP YOUR GUN, and NEVER buy one used- you don't know if its been dropped before, and once it's dropped, they never usually spray the same. if you do drop yours and it does not act right after replacing any damaged parts, Iwata does have a service department that will do their best to get it back to it's original factory performance. With a cost of course!

Great seller arrived safely no problems
Great seller arrived safely no problems. Excellent product that’s in a different league to the more cheaper airbrushes. As it sprays the paint in a far finer mist and the spray trigger on top allows far better control of the paint. It also works with a table top air compressor I got with the cheaper brand of airbrush. I was worried that it would not come with any lubricant but it did.

Build quality and feels seems to be better.
Seems to be okay. I can't really put it above any of the others. Performs about the same as the others. Build quality and feels seems to be better.

You get what you pay for.
This is my second air brush. The first did not work very well so I spent the dollars for a good one.
