No Sub? No Problem!
Very under-rated speakers, these sound great for even MSRP. They come in and just looking at how small these floor-standing speakers are you assume it’ll sound terrible, but once you pair it with a decent AMP and DAC, you realize there’s a lot of bang for your buck here. The frequency response is rated from 43Hz to 26Khz and while 43 doesn’t sound like you’d get a full-ranged sound from these, they have a very smooth and full sounding bass roll-off, meaning they sound bigger than the numbers make you think. The highs are brighter and a bit more exaggerated, however they don’t feel fatiguing, at least to my ears. Personally I love a bit of sparkle in my sound, so take that as you may. I suppose my only real complaint’s that the midrange is a bit stepped back in comparison to the rest of the sound. Overall you can’t go wrong with any of the Jamo S 800 series speakers, but the 805s are magical. They sound as good as they look.

Thumbs up
Connected these speakers to mu Denon amp.Ran it through the usual sound test. Hey Nineteen, YYZ, Once in a Lifetime live, Madonna Music, and Roundabout. The speakers sound good. They sound better than the price point by a lot. I did prefer to listen with my little 8” Boston Acoustic powered sub about 35% power. The volume sweet spot for me is between 65 to 74 decibels. I read and watched quite a few reviews on these as I was going in without hearing them for myself before purchasing them.. The reviews are on point. Five stars considering the quality for the price. Good speakers.

Impressive sound for such a small tower
For the price, this tiny tower delivers impressive sound. Excellent sound stage. Bass is not bad considering the size, but maybe you’ll want to hook up a subwoofer, or consider a larger cabinet tower. The original set that was shipped to me had damage to the speaker cabinets… odd considering the shipping box and speaker box didn’t show damage that would’ve dented the cabinets and damage the finish, so it must’ve happened not in shipping or warehouse, but at the manufacturer. Poor quality control? The second set that was cross-shipped to me were perfect.Very nice grill cover.Again, although the bass is impressive for the size, it doesn’t satisfy if you’re a bass head and need that low punch… you really cannot feel it with these. They may be perfect for a small room, but you will want a small sub paired with it.

Unfortunately, very disappointed.
Moved some things around to create a second 7.2 surround sound system. Got these to replace a pair of Klipsch R-610Fs in the shed- and could not be more disappointed. Maybe I'm disappointed with these Jamos, or the R-610Fs really were that much better. Got the Jamos for the price per pair, although will stick with Klipsch in the future- the R-610Fs being one of the better purchases I've ever made.
