What can you say about toilet shims? They are a utilitarian product. They were made to do a single job. If they do this successfully, voila. They win. My irritation comes from the fact that these are such a simple, easy, stupidly cheap thing that takes all of 30 seconds to a minute to complete - and yet, being as simple, stupid and easy, my husband - who is a plumber mind you, and has a million of these stupid, easy, cheap things at his disposal - has for over a year not brought any home with him to fix our wobbly toilets. Over. A. Year.And many o times have I thought, 'oh fine, I'll fix it myself', only to be met with arguments of 'nooo, don't spend money on that - I have tons of them, I'll just bring some home!' Actively refusing to purchase any, or preventing me from purchasing any by removing them from carts, or putting them back on the shelf when we get to the counter.'No! That's dumb to buy those, why waste money when I have so many!' He says...And where is my sea of plentiful toilet shims he regales of?I wish I had an answer.Perhaps the situation escapes him, since he stands to pee, and does not have to endure the onslaught of items falling from the wobbly toilet into the small of your back in less than ideal timing. Or the falling of toilet paper, a precious commodity in 2020, into the cats' water dish.....destroyed. Loss. He does not know how long I waited in line for that 2 ply white gold, so he cannot feel the pain and frustration.Ah, but alas, I have been left in self isolation, with time and opportunity at my disposal, reduced to buying online, in secret, while he is away doing his essential work.Why

we replaced 3 toilets, and had new tile floor put in. all 3 are wobbling, and rather than risk cracking either the toilet base, or the plastic floor pipe the bolts are in, these are perfect for eliminating "wobble" in your toilet.NO, you do not want HARD plastic shims. you want both some cushion for shock absorption, as well as being able to insert to the fullest extent and get the best amount of coverage ON the shim.With hard plastic, you may have one small area actually making contact, and you can risk breaking the shim, Or even potentially cracking your toilet, depending on where the shim has to be located.You simply push these in ( possibly have someone wobble the toilet away from the shim, so you get maximum amount of leveling ) or tap them in with a small rubber mallet or wooden handle, then cut them flush or slightly less than flush to hide them.They have worked perfectly on all 3 toilets.

Worked great to level my toilet and keep it from rocking. They are a softer rubber, so stay in place and easy to cut with a sharp knife so you don't see them once you are done.

These work very well. Because the shims are made of soft plastic, they are easy to insert into the gaps and yet create a tight fit once inserted to the maximum leverage. And you can cut the protruding portions off to make them invisible. We strongly recommend this product for the ease of use and effectiveness.One note of caveat: Your toilet may be rocking because the flange is in bad shape. Be sure to look into that as well.

The perfect shim for leveling toilets,sinks or anything you wish to level without removing things like toilets, I used it for my unleveled toilet. Just placed them under tapped it with hammer and was a tight fit.There are rubber made where they are easy to cut after placing them where you want to level.

These are really thick. If your toilet is this far out of level, you need to repair your floor. The wedges (I wouldn't call something this thick a shim, personally), is very rubbery, and difficult to push under a toilet -- it's bendy and floppy. I gave it three stars because I'm sure there is a purpose for these, but for fixing a wobbling toilet... not so much. I will now be searching for thin toilet shims...

worked perfectly. Tips: if the gap in the front or back of your toilet is too high for one of these shims, see if you can also shim it on the opposite side. For example, the gap at the front of my toilet was too high for the shim, so I shimmed the back of the toilet, which brought down the front so it could then be shimmed as well.Also, definitely get the soft rubber version of these shims. The hard plastic is harder to work with and less pliant. The soft version also acts as a shock absorber of sorts.

I put a new tiled floor down in the bathroom, thought the floor was level, but when installing the toilet it wasn’t as the toilet rocked, these worked a treat and now it doesn’t move at all.
