So it's going to be a while until I'm able to actually get in the water and check out how well this filter actually works. But that said, I gave it a good look and it seems like the filter is pretty decent and should work well for diving with a black light!I'm pretty picky about what gear I use while diving, so simply listening to that instinct has been a pretty good guide for when to and when not to use particular things. And in this case, I have no major reservations about using these filters on real dives.

This rigid acrylic / PMMA (aka brand names Plexiglas-Perspex-Lucite) yellow filter fits over my ScubaPro mask perfectly. It practically locked onto my mask and is very secure thanks to the mask’s protruding upper rim. Acrylic/PMMA is well-known for being highly shatter-resistant.A protective film covered both sides of the filter. It peeled off easily, revealing a pristine optical surface. Without the film, care will need to be taken to avoid scratching the lens so I will be storing it in a cloth pouch (not included).The elastic strap quite short. Men might experience issues but it is workable for me. It is slightly adjustable; the ends secure with Velcro. I may add a strap retainer for security and comfort. One star deducted for the short strap.I won’t have an opportunity for at least 3 months to fluoro-dive with this yellow filter but am very pleased with it. I look forward to seeing the new worlds it opens up.

Excellent filter. It fit inside the frame of my single lens mask easily. It is a must for anyone who wishes to do a fluro dive.Only issue I had was the strap was not long enough. I had to make a new one to have the filter comfortably fit on my head.
