Mevgal Authentic Greek Yoghurt, 500 g

thick,delicious and creamy without the very sour tang. use in place of mayonnaise: just add a pinch of salt and squeeze of fresh lemon. and instead of buying yogurt pots full of sugar and thickeners: buy a few small glass jars, add a few tablespoons of the yogurt, some frozen berries, chia seeds. yum.

So much thicker and creamier than 'Greek style' yoghurt and perfect with granola, fruit and honey. I even like a dollop with a curry or fajitas! Lovely to eat on its own too.

It's so much thicker than the "greek style" yoghurt you find in the supermarket, and so much tastier too.

I just came back from Santorini. I had some authentic greek yoghurt there every morning cos it was delicious. Totally different from greek style yoghurt and I think this authentic yoghurt is a lot better! I love this thickness

I use this for baking. It's a great product, works a treat.

I keep having to do a whole shopping list on Amazon just so I can buy this yogurt. I love it!

13g protein is advertised for 200gm portion (i.e. 100g just has 6.5gm protein)...which is much less than greek yogurt category. However texture & taste is reasonably okay. Won't order again though.

I would say that it compares favourably with any yoghurt I've had, when on holiday on any of the Greek islands, however, when I was consuming this, I was usually in a small taverna, where I doubt they made their own. Chances are that it was probably purchased from a supermarket, and who knows where they imported it from. Having said that, this is delicious and thick.
