Work as it promised
The installation is easy and simple. Some comment that the instruction is not clear. The diagram is indeed a template. Verify the dimensions first and then stick it to the door and frame and drill the holes. The work is done. No complication. The open and close is smooth and the door can be hold at any position after 90 degrees. It is not for fire rated door as such feature violates the fire code.

Working well
I had a bit of trouble installing the product, but it wasn't necessarily the product's fault. The door frame was a bit complicated, which made the installation challenging. Fortunately, the product can be installed in two different ways, so I was able to get it right on the second try. It has worked really well for the past six months. Size 2 works great for typical single-panel doors. It has enough force to close the door and it's not too difficult to open.

Does not pass fire code
No way to disengage the hold open function, as such it does not pass fire inspection.

Excellent, once installed correctly. Watch a few You Tube instructional videos for the correct installation in your particular situation. Take your time to get good results.
