Scheepjes - Scheepjes Pastel Softfun Colour Pack - 12 x 20 Grams (1 Box)

I purchased this with some money that was gifted to me and I have absolutely no regrets! I was able to use the entire pack to crochet this beautiful blanket. It was fun to sit and rearrange the colours into a rainbow order that suited me as well as the actual crochet part. I'm not always a fan of Scheepjes as a lot of their yarns are loosely spun and will untwist constantly, however Catona doesn't do this and is a very firmly wound yarn, that being said it is very soft and drapes gorgeously. Given that these are 4ply I used a 3.5 hook and that was quite perfect for it. A tiny complaint was that I really wish the colour names were printed on the bands as this is a big thing for me I must admit - this line has so many beautiful names and it's ashame to not show them off. I personally went through the box and wrote on the names because this made them easier to identify when I had to make the colour order list for my blanket. I think the box is pretty good value as the price of £65 puts each ball at around 60p and as a comparison, my regular yarn purchasing website of Wool Warehouse would put single 10g balls at 79p. Only thing I disliked in the long run after lovingly using this blanket in the summer months was that it pills quite badly, I was always finding it covered in coloured fuzz. But it's not the biggest deal ever, I still don't regret buying or making this!

Good yarn in stunning colours.

Order arrived on time in excellent condition. I am planning to make a multicoloroured shawl so this set is ideal for the purpose. The colors are beautiful, the quality is good.

Fantastic value considering how many colours you get in the box. Each ball is labelled with its colour number, which is handy for if you want to get a larger ball of a specific colour. Lovely soft cotton but the reason why I knocked off a star is that it splits like there's no tomorrow! Purchased to make individual colour granny square blanket and each ball is just the right length to make a 5x5 inch square with a little left over, using a 4.5mm hook. I would recommend as its great value for so many colours if you're only after small amounts, just make sure you keep twisting the yarn as you work.

I’d seen this set a few times so decided to treat myself. Beautiful quality yarn. Lovely to crochet with. Wonderful lively colours. Had fun using the little balls to make up a hexagon blanket. Joyful

Excellent pack of mini balls of wool. The yarn is a soft cotton and easy to work with a wide range of colours. There is enough in the pack to make a decent sized blanket. Good quality, does not split when working.

Lovely selection of colours. Great yarn for crochet. If doing large project the yarn is small bundles but just what I needed

Sehr schöne Wolle, große Farbauswahl. Besonders die Riverwashed Knäuel gefallen mir sehr gut. Die Wolle ist schön weich und deshalb ideal für meine Patchwork-Decke, die ich gerade stricke. Hab das Garnpaket nochmal nachbestellt. :-)
