Decades of Deception: A Novel of Family Intrigue Paperback – August 22, 2017

Very well written. Characters and scenes are so descriptive that you feel like you’re right there with Patrick as he reveals his thoughts, emotions, experiences and pain. The book is so deeply moving and intriguing with twists and turns, I couldn’t put it down… never a dull moment. Many parts are so chilling it had me gasping in shock. I have a lot of respect for Patrick being able to courageously write about such heart-wrenching subject matter…persevering through so many obstacles, not taking no for an answer, but bravely asserting forward until he got the answers to ALL of his questions. He never gave up and never gave in. Although there is such darkness in the world, it is uplifting to read about the loving support of Patrick’s wife, Tina. She’s the light in his life. He has a beautiful family and I’m so happy that he finally has closure of his past roots so that he can finally live in peace. I love happy endings. God bless Patrick and his beautiful family.

Fascinating story that I couldn't stop reading. As awful as it must've been for the author to live through, this is ultimately a story of triumph over betrayal and evil.

I loved reading this story, not only because of the intrigue, but because of the bravery that Pat shows. It takes courage to investigate your own history and to keep on pursuing the truth even when it becomes dangerous. It also takes a lot to put your story out there for the world to see and even more, to overcome your past, however dark, and live to be a sane man and a great husband and father. I'm glad I took the time to read this!

An Excellent Read! This is not my usual genre of literature, however, I had a hard time putting it down. I am sorry this isn't just a well written story but rather a well written real life experience with real life heartache for so many people. And let's not forget the dark side of humanity; this book has it all. Well done Pat Callahan! I look forward to more of your books.

Intense, involving, and very personal, Patrick Callahan's Decades of Deception reads like a crisp, well-written screenplay. I read it in one day, two sittings. It's just that gripping. The plot centers on a twisted bit of family history that rocks a young family man's world and follows him through his dogged journey to get to the truth of it all. What's especially interesting is that he's just an average everyman caught up in an unusually shocking and troubling dilemma; so, although it's a strange situation, most of us can relate because of his humanity. Recommended to fans of mystery -- real-life and fictional. You'll also have a bit of fun casting the imaginary movie adaptation in your mind's eye.

Amazing! Fascinating! Riveting! Could not put this book down. Read the whole thing in one sitting. Patrick Callahan takes you on an amazing journey in this riveting page turner of a book. From the first chapter dealing with the death of his father, Artie to the last page you will be awestruck by the tenacity of the human spirit and its unquenchable search for the truth. One can only wonder how life would have turned out for the author had these strange twists of fate not happend. I really hope this becomes a movie as I think it is a story worth telling.

Such an intriguing true story of love and greed and hidden corruption. Since I'm also from the author home state, it especially hurt my heart to read and discover his truth. Looking forward to reading more!

Pat, I just finished reading your book, and I am absolutely stunned by your story! I could barely put the book down last night because it was so riveting, and I finished it up first thing this morning. I'm sorry for all the pain you experienced and grateful that you now have the answers. The larger story of overcoming all of the dysfunction and the deception is, in the end, an enormous inspiration to anyone who struggles with their past. This is a great book!

Compelling read. Disturbing to think this is based on a true story. Well written account of a series of bizarre events. Characterisation that could only come from life experience - sadly! I do think it will make a great film - read the story here first.
