Legacy: a gripping new novel from global bestselling author

Wow, what a crazy complicated and intriguing storyline. This authors books are so unique but have the same intensity intriguing qualities to keep you hooked from the first page to the last. The narration as always was excellent and I can’t wait to read another Nora Roberts book.

I have to ration Nora Roberts books as I’d never get anything done! You always get what you pay for and as ever, I really enjoyed this story. The characters are all three-dimensional and likeable and the interplay between them all is compelling. Loved Mo and am half expecting her to get her own book at some point! My only issue is there are so many of them and they all have such weird names, I got lost off at times. Could have done with less detail in the fitness scenes but that was probably because they made me feel lazy. The resolution was satisfactory and who doesn’t love a happy-ever-after? Highly recommended.

Great author to go back to everytime

It was an evolving story at the right speed and page-turner.

I found this book tedious. All too glittery and very, very “American dream”. Perfect people in perfect houses, perfect relationships and all having perfect children. Naturally everyone was brilliant at everything they did and everyone loved everyone else, including the precocious kids and even the dogs! If you’re after a feel-good, stars in your eyes book, this will suit you. All too much shmaltz for this British reader. (By the way - the supposedly sinister poems, written by the villain, were so appallingly awful that they were laughable).

Superb read, fast pacy at times smooth and slow at others. Believable characters and a great scene setting. Definitely recommend

A good light read with a bit more substance than the usual pulp fiction.

Always happy with Nora Roberts books

As usual a marvellous read from this Author. It was exciting, thrilling and had some romance thrown in. I never tire of reading books by Nora Roberts.

FINAL DECISION: The mystery wasn't that strong for me, but I loved the relationship between these characters and the glimpse of these lives that we learn about. Adrian is a great heroine, and Raylan is just adorable. Very enjoyable read even if not perfect.THE STORY: Adrian Rizzo met her father on the day he tried to kill her and her mother.In the aftermath, her mother Lina brought her to her grandparents who live in a small town in Maryland. Adrian enjoyed that summer and met her best friend -- and her older brother, Raylan. Decades later, Adrian and Raylan are living in the same town and things seem to bring them together. At the same time, Adrian is dealing with a stalker who has sent her threatening poems for years. Her stalker is escalating, however, and is taken with murdering women as he zeros in on Adrian.OPINION: This was quite an enjoyable journey with these characters. I really loved Adrian and Raylan, who are both such caring people. Their story was very compelling, and their life as they grow together was engaging to me. I liked that the two of them had complete lives apart, but then their lives begin to overlap.Roberts does such a great job of building these towns with characters who are interesting in their own right and yet don't overwhelm the story. What she also does so well is create stories where the romance is essential to the story, and yet this is the story of a woman who has managed to build her own life with friends and family. The man adds to her existence, but she has a pretty good life even without him.I've been reading a lot of women's fiction these days, and this book demonstrates what I find missing from those stories. This book has complex characters and never seems to scream -- I'm a powerful woman. Instead, the characters are so good, and I am interested in their lives. Even without the drama of the mystery in the story, I would have been satisfied reading how these characters manage to find one another and create the possibility of sharing a life together. I supposed I should go back and read more of Robert's standalone romances.WORTH MENTIONING: This book has significant violence, including abuse, murders, and a school shooting. Legacy começa com um texto que me levou à primeiras obras da Nora Roberts, bem mais simples. Surgiu a dúvida se o texto era simples por situar as frases numa criança/adolescente. Parece-me que isso foi confirmado pelo texto da parte adulta da personagem principal, escrito no padrão atual da autora. Muito bom, levando ao envolvimento emocional usual presente nos livros dela.Legacy begins with a text that took me to the first works of Nora Roberts, much simpler. The question arose whether the text was simple because it placed the sentences in a child/adolescent. It seems to me that this has been confirmed by the text of the adult part of the main character, written in the author's current pattern. Very good, leading to the usual emotional involvement present in her books.

One of the best book by Nora Robert. A different story line and beautiful characters. A fabulous suspense romance story.
