No! you can't use any other ATF for your BMW......Your car only use BMW ATF........I use to have BMW and use different ATF and messed up my transmission. SO ITS A NO! NO!

According to Castrol’s Recommendations Guide, recommended for the 2016 Nissan Sentra 1.8L, is the Castrol Transmax CVT ATF or Castrol Transmax ATF/CVT Universal.

Castrol Transmax CVT ATF and Castrol Transmax ATF/CVT Universal are suitable for use where Nissan CVT Fluid NS-3 type fluid is specified and may be used in your application.

Before using any lubricant, ensure that the lubricant product specifications meet or exceed the lubricant specifications required by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for that specific use.

Castrol Transmax ATF/CVT Universal is suitable for use where Mopar ZF 8 & 9 Speed Automatic Transmission Fluid is specified and may be used in your application.

Castrol cannot guarantee compatibility with competitive fluids as we do not know their proprietary formula; therefore, we recommend a complete drain of the transmission and refill with Castrol Transmax ATF/CVT Universal.

This should include draining the torque converter, which holds about one-half of the ATF volume -- dropping the pan will not cause the torque converter to drain.

You may find directions for draining the torque converter online or may wish to have this service performed for you by a service facility.

Castrol Transmax ATF/CVT Universal is suitable for use for Chrysler ATF +4 however it is not the preferred fluid.  The preferred fluid would be Castrol Transmax ATF +4 which is certified and approved for all Chrysler cars and trucks that require ATF+4, Mopar ATF+3, ATF+2, ATF+2 Type 7176, or ATF+.
