Works exactly as described
This device works exactly as they say it will. The added benefit of having 4K pass through without having to disconnect cables is amazing! Obviously you can’t capture at 4K but you can simply press the knob AND set the device to 1080p and then you can capture. I noticed no display lag when capturing. I hooked up a Kinivo HDMI switch before this on the input side so I can now capture a Switch, xbox, or the PC (screen 2) without having to swap cables around. The RGB is nice and it has a mirror finish on top.The only cons I can think of is the device is kinda light and plastic-y. It doesn’t feel like it’ll break so that’s not super concerning to me.Also, It does require 2 USB ports, one of them at least usb3.0 (3.1 or 3.2 should work fine as the USB group hates it’s customers with the constant renaming of the same ports!)At the $99-$129 price point it can be found for it is an amazing deal!I’d not hesitate to buy another to use as a dedicated camera capture when I upgrade from a webcam to a DSLR or similar with HDMI out.

Well...
It this a cheaper version of the razor ripshaw indeed. For more in detail review youtube videos has it covered . But if u hate using cable splitters when gaming on console than this will due. I still am pro elgato but this does what it is meant to do. One very annoying feature is even though you do not have the mic plugged into the mic port it will still capture the mic sound and sent it through stream or even game which is very weird and inconvenient.

Good value capture card with minor issue
For what it is this is a pretty decent capture card. The only issue that I have with it currently is the fact that it stops recording on occasion and it took me several hours of searching to find out that part of the reason it does is due to low power. Like the capture card is still on and working but it's not capturing video if it's not plugged into USB 3.0. even using a USB hub that is 3.0 itself and independently powered does not seem to work unless it's plugged directly into the 3.0 ports on the computer. So occasionally I have to unplug and replug the capture card. Resetting it doesn't work it has to be power cycled. I use streamlabs obs and it's possible that it's an issue with streamlabs but I don't think it worked any better with twitch studio. Even when switching games, or themes it requires a power cycle to properly record.

How to fix the black screen
I was having problems with only getting the black screen and there wasn't anything in the support about it. On your video card settings, there are some settings that you will need to change in order for it to work. First is turning off HDMI Link assurance and then turn off HDCP. Restart and its good to go.
