This season, loyalties are tested and egos collide when Masters battle their former Apprentices to prove once and for all - can the student ever surpass the teacher?

Master vs. Apprentice
I love the concept of the apprentice competing against the master who taught them how to tattoo. INK MASTER has kept the show fresh and exciting by continuing to come up with new and exciting ways to keep the audience enthusiastic about the show even after six seasons. After watching the first episode "Meet Your Maker" it illustrated that the masters are not always the better tattoo artist as you might think. There are some super talented apprentices this season that will shake up that theory.I am also pleased to see the return of Craig Foster, one of my favorite tattoo artists from season three. I thought he was let go too early in that season and now he is back and ready to show the audience that he has been working on his skills. There is also a wide variety of specialty artists to add even more spice to this season. After watching the first episode I have high hopes for this season for quality entertainment and also for learning even more about the world of tatttooing.I have switched from four to five stars after watching seven riveting episodes. The seventh episode, "Predator vs. Prey", is probably the best episode I have seen from all six seasons. The competitions have been the most intense I have seen in INK MASTER history.

I hated this season
I hated this season, but watched the whole thing.. I guess I just really cannot stand how biased Chris Nunez and Oliver Peck seem to be.. It's obvious that Chris has the final say about every elimination.. Which IMO, is a joke because his own work is average at best.. And Oliver just goes along with whatever Chris says.. Dave Navarro seems to be the most unbiased but is like me, and has no idea technically what he is looking at. He only recognizes if it is aesthetically pleasing and whether or not it is something he'd be willing to have tattooed on him.. The winner of this season should've been eliminated half way through.. My conspiracy theory is, (LOL!) that Chris was buddies with this guy before the competition started (which he said that he had followed his work for years) and maybe he offered him something in return for the title of Ink Master.. Nunez fought a little too hard for this this under achiever to win... BUT, that's just my uneducated opinion.. I would recommend watching this if you are bored and out of new shows to watch or just a fan of the series..

Do it
Ink master is a great show. Silly drama, great tattoos. Awful tattoos lol. Bought the series during covid lockdown. Worth it.

Another great season
Great art and challenges, but I think the wrong person won. He should have been sent home about five times and always managed to skate by. All of the seasons have come with the obvious preferences though, so it's not a surprise. After all, the newest season had a winner who didn't even finish one of his final pieces. All in all, worth watching. Love the great pieces, have to cringe at the fails.

Fun But Weak
If you like ink shows you'll probably like this one as well. However, this is my least favorite season up to this point. Spoilers. First, way too many team challenges. Second, this was a weak batch of artists. Third, the best artist, St Marq, got skunked halfway through the contest. Lastly, Chris Nunez was, as usual, inconsistent in whether he judged tats by the challenge or his gut. With that said the finale had excellent art and the outcome was not what I expected. It was worth the wait.

American Traditional is hard.
When it comes to reality television, I find most shows to be vacuous, idiotic, or pointless. There are a few exceptions though. Shows where a craftsman of some sort is forced to compete with other talented individuals in the same field of study, then I'm riveted. I've watched every season of this show, and from the personalities of the competitors, to the art, to the judges it doesn't disappoint.

Ink Master -- The Competition Is Fierce
Ink Master is amazing and Dave Navarro is very cool. The only thing I don't like is how much time the tattoo artist's spend talking meanly about their fellow contestants -- it gets so bad at times I just mute the TV. The contest segments are great though and the tattoo's are stunning.
