BLACKHAWKSportster Shooters Bag

This is incredible for the price paid! I very much like the design of Black Hawk items and ordered 2 zip pistol bags by them at the same time for other guns. As a woman, we look for organization and utility as well as value in the purchase of things. This bag is just the right size for a 9mm or .38 special but would fit a larger glock also. Though it was well padded enough to use alone, I purchased same brand zip pistol bag which fit very well inside this bag-no problem. There is ample room for several clips and the zipper and other construction elements are top quality. It is padded on the sides and bottom also being sturdy enough for small arms to transport or store. It won't fit my ear muff protection but fits safety glasses and other small items just fine. Black Hawk makes products that work for a good price. This one is just the right size and fits my needs excellently. There is a nice grip on the handles which has velcro to put the two together and the strap is removable if you like. Buy it, you won't be disappointed!

It will not replace an all day range bag that holds all your gear, but I was looking for a quick and convenient answer to my bulky large bag. This bag is the answer. Small, very well constructed, and holds what I need for those times you don't plan on making a day of the range.Bag comes with a complete Molle side for attachments, but I find it more cosmetic since attaching smaller bags to an already small bag is ridiculous. The other side has a useful zippered pocket for smaller items.Bag is small, but nowhere in the description is is listed as a large bag, so I knew what I was getting. Overall- great bag

I've had the Sportster Range bag for 15+ years & it's been great. I bought the Shooters bag for when I didn't need the larger Range bag. Well made & functional. Additional pouches could be attached to the Molle strips (water bottle pouch/etc). I just ordered another one for my daughter. For the price, it's worth more than other similar sized bags that cost more. Just realize it's limitations. You won't be disappointed.

blackhawk always makes nice stuff, even after ti got sold to another company, but many items are on very long backorders which I don't like

I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 because I haven't quite found the perfect application for it. As mentioned in other reviews it is an awkward size. Too small to travel alone and larger than needed with an additional range bag. It's well made and was delivered quickly. It is well padded if treated politely. I would not trust it to a airport baggage handler but if not thrown around it will take good care of your handguns. It is exactly as as noted in the description. My complaint, it doesn't have enough room for an outing to the range by itself. I like to be able to carry 200-300 rds of ammo, ear muffs, some minor tools, glasses and so on. This bag doesn't come close. If you pack an additional range bag then you don't need all the room this bag provides. So as the three bears would say "It's too big...It's too small...It's just not right" So to be fair, if you don't need to put your ear muffs in it you will probably find it's not bad. The side pouch is just a little too small for muffs plus ammo. You can carry 2 standard size handguns and the 8 mags without much problem. 3-4 50 round boxes of ammo will fit in the side pouch but no 100 rd boxes. Handguns w/ small optics will probably fit. If you fore go carrying mags you can add a 3rd medium size pistol in the center section and not damage it. You might have trouble trying to shove in three revolvers.So for me the perfect application has been when I go off-road and don't plan to do much shooting. In that case it carries everything I need sans the ear muffs but hey there is plenty of room for ear plugs. For the price it's an excellent bag.

Over the years, I have used a number of different range bags, some big enough to smuggle in a small family and others so compact that you almost had to take the sights off to get the handgun to fit in the bag. This one is a fantastic compromise for a quick day at the range. I am able to fit two pistols (a Ruger MkIII 22/45 and usually a Glock 19) (a S&W 686 with a 6 inch barrel will fit but barely), 8 magazines plus a magazine in both firearms, custom molded ear buds (a set of ear muffs WILL NOT FIT), a Hilljak 22LR loader and a Maglula Uplula loader, some Birchwood Casey Shoot NC Targets, a Pro-Shot .22 Cal.& up Universal Pistol Kit with a .22 Cal. nylon brush and a .38-.45 Cal. multi-cal. nylon brush, bottle of Hoppe's Elite gun oil, a couple hundred rounds of 22LR and 100-200 rounds of 9mm. I'm sure more will fit but this is a good start for me. The back side of the bag has MOLLE webbing where I might attach one large pouch to mirror the built-in one on the front side OR I might attach two smaller pouches (one for ammo and other junk and the other for a nice range first-aid setup). The back side also has a zippered pocket that will hold flat stuff, like the targets mentioned above.Now for my complaint. The bag is AWESOME, Amazon's service was GREAT, and the seller, Webyshops.com, was super fast. My problem is with the Mensa candidate from the Postal Service that left my box on my front porch in the monsoon like rain, all while a relatively dry screened-in porch was no more than 15 feet to the right of where the box was left. By the time I found the box, it was so waterlogged that the box literally fell apart in my hands, but the range bag, in a plastic bag, was amazingly dry.If you need a range bag for an hour or so at the range then pick this one up. You will not be disappointed.
