We us Shagstop on a lacrosse goal at our house with excellent results. We have found it keeps my son and his teammates shooting for way longer not having to chase down balls, and have more fun. It also teaches them to shoot on the pipe without fear of having to run down your ball. Definitely some thought was put into the build of this product as the parts are high quality in the way they attach to the cage. I am a big fan of things that keep kids off their screens and this is one of them for sure it keeps them pumped on Practicing their shooting skills. Five star. Watch the video to install it is super helpful as it takes a minute. Play sports don’t watch them.

This backstop is a very good design and concept. If setup as a ball stop/return the netting and flexibility of the poles allow missed shots to be “returned” back towards front of goal and easily found.This has allowed my boys to each have a bucket of balls and just take shot after shot and really allow the muscle memory to build up and dial in their accuracy.However.. Being able to do what i described has also blown at least 20 holes in the netting and broken two of the small poles in around 5 months. I couldn’t even begin to tell you how many shots have be taken, probably 5k plus between my two sons plus feral roaming teammates that stop by to have a bucket of shots.Caveat of this is, these are high school players and are shooting hard and killing this thing. Younger players with less time and reps will probably last forever.Overall I think the increased number of reps they can get in, and the decreased amount of lost balls is worth it. Just don’t expect it to last very long if used hard.Edit; Company warranty the broken poles no questions ask, so the company definitely stands by their product.

Best lacrosse back stop! My daughter has been increasing her power shots and before we got the Shag Stop, lost many ball. This device, when setup, prevents this! The directions included were very thorough and the you tube video so helpful! Definitely give it a try! Worth every penny!

Nicely packaged , wonderful laminated note from the founder , Jeff k, thanking me and offering help, a sticker was also included. You know what isn’t included???? Instructions. Hidden behind the ‘free sticker’ was “search shaq stop installation in you tube”. Seriously, you couldn’t be bothered to include a one page simple instruction sheet????? Poorly thought out poorly executed strategy. As to product? Don’t know if it is any good , looks well made, the pieces are still in a pile in the field next to the goal where there is no reception to watch a video to tell me how it goes together .

This net is the cheapest thing in the world. While setting it up it quite literally broke apart. The inner poles snaped when putting them together. Was very wabbaly and not steardy. I am very disappointed and frustrated because this net costed $200 and It could not have been more cheaply build. When I tried to put everything back to go and return the net the zipper it came in broke right off. Overal terrible product and wouldn’t recommend saving your money and not purchasing this crap.

After communicating with the company who shipped out a missing piece and printed directions (The original method was following a YouTube video) and explained about the dimensions of the net as mine originally looked skewed and made wrong (see the two images of the next shape) I was able to get my Shag stop put together.As a lacrosse player for 40 years who has also coached for 15 years this is something I wish I had when I was a kid to prevent me from having to chase down a town of balls or work extra to make up for the money it would costs to replace a broken fence post. The rebounding action of the net keeps all the shots on goal coming back in front or ending up in the goal itself. Now if your shot is extremely poor and you miss everything then you will still have to chase some balls, though the increase in reps you can get is crucial to improving your game compared to just running after a ball.If you have neighbors or an overgrown area that could easily cause you to loose balls this is a perfect addition to your backyard to help save the balls. I personally have hesitated taking a lot of shots in my own backyard up to this point though this will change that as I can feel more comfortable that most if not all my shots on cage will stay in my yard.

This is a great product. My kids shoot tons of hockey pucks every day and it's held up extremely well. It's much better than the standard backstop that you usually see at the hockey stores (that cover 20'' on the side and 22'' above the net). This one provides 3+ feet of overshot protection on top and sides of goal, which makes a big difference.I always tell parents of my kids hockey teams how good this product is. Excellent customer service too.

This is a great product, a "must have" for your home lacrosse set-up. It arrived as described and the set-up was no where as intimidating as I thought. It is extremely effective back-stop, no missed shot ever misses the Shag Stop. My boys love it and love not chasing down balls even more. The service I've received since has been outstanding. If we had 2 nets, we'd have 2 Shag Stops, seriously!!! Thanks Jeff and team!!
