Raydrop Humidifiers for Bedroom Baby, 3L Cool Mist Top Fill for Large Room

I bought this unit while searching for Smart humidifiers I could use for my plants. I didn't want to break the budget on something huge, and I wanted it to be a stylishly cute decoration for the living room. I also wanted it to have enough capacity to not be a hassle, and also to be acceptable for essential oils. I know I'm looking for the holy grail here, but this humidifier seemed to be the best balance of all these things. For the geeks out there, what's cool about this thing is that the power is not controlled through a digital interface, meaning that once it is in the "on" position, it can be controlled from the power source. I'm able to connect it to a generic smart plug for my Philips Hue system and control it on a schedule. This is not possible if you use a unit with an on/off button instead of this dial here. It outputs a LOT of mist. It is beautiful and I'm assuming effective. It looks like the mist cascades downward pretty heavily, but I have been using it on wooden surfaces with no noticeable moisture condensation. It only spits out wet droplets when I take the lid off to refill. Refilling is super simple. You don't need to remove the tank or drag the whole thing to a sink. I just fill up a Brita filter all the way and fill it up at night. I let it run continuously without turning it off for a week at a time without any issues. The only inconvenience is that even on the lowest setting it can barely last a full 24 hours, so it feels like I'm always filling it up. As long as it's part of your routine it's no big deal. This thing is actually excellent for essential oils. Just put a few drops in and it instantly fills the room with the smell. The scent disappears relatively quickly, but its comparable to other diffusers. I let it sit with a little water for a couple weeks without using it and it did accumulate nasty pink mold like you should expect. I took it to the sink, scrubbed it with a sponge and soap, and that stuff comes right off. I ran a vinegar solution through it to make sure the insides were more or less sanitary, and then it was right back to normal and stays clean. You should expect some maintenance. Don't buy a humidifier or diffuser if you're going to throw it away once you let it sit for a week all damp. Overall I love this thing. I think it looks great in my home

This is an affordable and effective humidifier. Very quiet and only makes a faint whirring sound - on high settings it makes a slight bubbling sound. Easy to clean since the lid and inner tube are detachable. If you have hard tap water, some mineral deposits will develop on all inner parts but if you don't mind soaking the parts and filling the main body in a diluted vinegar solution like once a week it's alright. Also helps w/ sanitizing it as well. The only annoying thing about it is the power indicator light is way too bright. As someone who needs darkness to sleep, this made me look for a different model. I'm talking about even if you off the ambient light, the green power light makes it hard to sleep and has to be covered up at night. And then it still shines through the body of the humidifier anyway. But if it doesn't bother you, I would recommend this as an affordable option.

I bought two of these last year and a third this year. They are way easier to fill, less messy, less accident prone (I've knocked my old ones over making huge messes before) and easier to clean than any of the more expensive cool mist humidifiers I've bought at the drug store. I will say of the first two I bought, one had a slight crack in the tank but it was above the fill mark and hasn't caused me any problems. The other one I bought last year also cracked recently and is a little louder than it used to be but is still running and not leaking. We use our humidifiers in the bedrooms and living room daily for about 6months out of the year. We have hard water and do not use distilled water and it has not effected their functionality and the minerals don't seem to build up they way they did in our old humidifiers, it could be because they are easier to clean. When I came back to buy my third, I noticed the reviews for this product had shifted-perhaps the company needs to work on their quality control? I've had this third humidifier for a couple months now and it still works great. I definitely recommend.

I always had to buy a new humidifier every year until I got this one. Others just get moldy. Because it is one where you pour it on top, it drys better, and is easy to use. (I use a cup to fill it up, so it can stay in one spot by my bed) When I am done using it, or every couple days, when sick, I have two on rotation. I dump it out and take it completely apart to dry on a towel by the sink for a day or two. This helps to completely dry and keep from getting moldy. I store this in a high shelf in the closet, so when I dropped it a pice did break sadly, so Not indestructible, but that was on me, not them.

I’ve spent years struggling with smaller bedroom humidifiers. Filling them up and having to juggle them upside down. Not being see though, pink lime and scale buildup not easy to clean because they are unreachable. Not this humidifier! First, I love the top pour it makes it so so much easier to fill! I can’t afford to buy pure filtered water so I always have pink lime or scale building up but it is so so easy to clean this humidifier. No weird unreachable nooks and crannies. You can access every part of the inside! This is a simple feature, but I love that it’s clear and I can actually see when the water is low which I didn’t know was important to me until I bought one that wasn’t clear. At first, I was worried because it didn’t seem like it would take as much water as my last humidifier, but filled to max this last about a day and a half on medium to high. Cranked on high, if I feel it up around 8pm, by 8am it’ll almost be out. Noise level is pretty standard, this may have a little more of a bobble or dripping noise due to the way it’s built but I don’t mind it and actually find it relaxing! The only slightly negative comment I have is the light settings. I thought I’d be able to select a specific color. I really like red and orange colors at night, but there is only one setting which is a continuous slow rainbow. This is my fault I didn’t read entirely into the lighting setting since it wasn’t an important feature at the top of my list. But if it is for you just know u can’t actually choose the color u want, the pictures are a little misleading I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

I’m revising my review (I previously gave it 4 stars, but now realize these humidifiers truly DO NOT add humidity to the air, despite APPEARING to be working. DO NOT BE FOOLED! And unlike my belief that the problem was caused by not using Distilled Water- it doesn’t make a difference bc this device simply does not help remove the dryness in the air whatsoever. It works for a day or two, then just does nothing for no reason. *******MY PREVIOUS REVIEW: —This ONLY works with DISTILLED WATER! Only buy this if you have no issue buying DISTILLED WATER. I have a humidity sensor and realize that whenever tap or spring water is in the tank, the humidifier APPEARS to be working fine, but my humidity sensor shows it is not adding any moisture to the air at all. As soon as I put distilled water in, my monitor will instantly recognize the change and the relative humidity will begin to increase…I bought two of these bc I thought the first one was defective. I cleaned it with white vinegar constantly to no avail. The issue is it needs DISTILLED WATER. I recommend buying a cheap humidity sensor here on Amazon so you know for sure if your humidifier if working properly. Humidifiers will function and appear to be working perfectly, yet they may be doing nothing at all. You can only know if you have a humidity sensor (also called a Hygrometer). It’s definitely worth the $5 to buy one!!!…this product works great as long as you use distilled water.

The top should be removable. It’s a pretty bad design flaw. Mold builds up in there, but there’s no way to clean it. If you buy this, be prepared to throw it away and buy a new one every month.
