This is a nice product and I look forward to installing in my garden. One word, one important word of caution. Be very very careful how you open the box. Although bubble-wrapped, the apex of the metal roof, front and back, is lethal. Stick you finger in the box and you risk ripping it open. The apexes are so sharp and pointed, I just could not believe it didn't have a foam cover. What also worries me,; I purchased one for my grandaughters, to be delivered direct. Naturally I have given a warning to them, but you know?, this sort of basic stuff should be sorted by the retailer/shipper.This is the issue that stopped a 5 star review.

Gute Verarbeitung, jetzt bin ich mal gespannt ob das Hotel auch angenommen wird. Das Touristen Geschäft ist ja heutzutage ein knallharter Markt 🤷🏼‍♂️😂😂😂 Buchungen werden jetzt angenommen.... Danke 👍🏼Nachtrag... nach zwei Tagen sind die ersten Gäste eingezogen, scheinen mit der Ausstattung und der Lage zufrieden zu sein. Die Rezeption ist sehr begeistert 😀 👍🏼.

.... leider ist es etwas unsauber gearbeitet. Einige der Röhrchen sind sehr ausgefranst und die Späne stehen in alle Richtungen. Die Tierchen können sich an diesen ausgefransten Kanten die Flügel verletzen,und das ist nicht Sinn der Nisthilfe. Also, in besserer Qualität herstellen - dann gibts auch 5 Sterne.Nach meiner 1.Bewertung hat sich der Verkäufer per Mail bei mir gemeldet um sich für dir minderwertige Qualität des Insektenhotels zu entschuldigen. Der anschließende telefonische Kontakt war sehr gut. Ich bekam ein neues Insektenhotel als Ersatz versprochen, und das wurde heute geliefert. Diesmal ist die Ausführung in Ordnung und ich hoffe dass es bald ausgebucht ist ;-) Zu diesem ausgezeichneten Kundenservice kann ich nur sagen -Daumen hoch, 5 Sterne voll verdient .Danke Herr Voigt !!!

I sooo wanted this to work, wanting Bees and other little insects to use it, but didn't hold out too much hope. I'm so pleased I was wrong. I set this up on a fence that faced the evening sun and within no time I have visitors. Its interesting to see them fly in and out all the time. This is my second year and its already being used again. If you want to help insects, or you just have an interest in 'bug hotels' or the alike, I recommend this!

Looks good. The metal strip at top is also good idea. Wood is untreated so won't last well unless treated with insect friendly ( linseed) oil. Some bamboo not drilled out deeply enough. Wood is cut smoothly which is good as means less chance of insects injuring wings etc. Fixing plate/hook missing so contacted producer but they said sold by Amazon so to contact them. Amazon do not do such things as send a little fixing plate so got to go through the tedious returns system & re-order, & just hope next one has fixing plate to hang it from. Not difficult to make your own insect house & more satisfying.
