So far so good. The package arrived earlier than anticipated. Installed on my downtube without any issues, and so far works great with my shim and tourney rear derailleur and tourney front derailleur.

Just installed it. Right index shifter seems to be stuck on smallest gear. I tried loosening it and tightening it to no avail. Friction shifter on left side works but I bought this to replace an old broken right shifter. Waste of money.EDIT: Just found out there's a problem with the rear derailleur. After fixing it, the bike can now shift through all the gears. I'm still docking one point becauseI have to push really hard to shift sometimes such that it's sometimes impossible to shift with one hand. All in all, it's an ok product. I chose it over the other shifters on Amazon due to the low price-point and the sturdy all-metal construction. On that aspect, I wasn't disappointed. The product came with neatly cut and wrapped cables and one spare cable housing. I found it easy to install and it works as advertised.

The shifters feel really cheap, it's akin to using a ratcheting clamp. The left shifter only ratchets into place when pulling back, or shifting to the larger ring, which I found to be unpleasant. The right shifter has a pretty solid feel, but the fact that you can't switch between indexed and micro-ratcheting friction modes is disappointing.Still glad I purchased for the clamp alone since I already had a pair of shifters kicking around I wasn't using, I would imagine any downtube shifter should bolt right up to these if your bicycle does not have downtube braze ons. This is a way better, cheaper solution than buying a second hand clamp on ebay for $60+ or having to make do with the hideous Problem Solvers downtube clamp.It should go without saying, but if you're converting your friction setup to indexed a new RD with a barrel adjuster is a must, otherwise setup would be way too fiddly. It's been so long since I've used anything indexed that I've forgotten about that aspect entirely.

kit looks like great quality, does not include the clamp pictured so i cant use and waited to long to return

These shifters allowed me to convert an old '89 ten speed bike from stem shifters to down tube shifters.It indexed with the old original Shimano 5 speed freewheel once I got the cable adjusted. It comes with two shifter cables and about 11 inches of black cable housing which I was not expecting.

Item is nice and functional, and good price.It delayed more than expected and I had to claim twice for it.Finally it arrived with 7 days delay.

The design of this shifter doesn't work.When shifting-it moves the rear derailleur 2 gears then comes back to the gear you selected.This works fine until you want to shift to the first gear where it pushes the chain off the freewheel.Waste of money.
