Great for big kid beds!
I have a few different big kid beds book and they all fall flat. I love that this book makes having a big kid bed like an adventure. I wish there was a bed sharing version that changed the crib page to sleeping in mommy & daddy’s bed. I just change the words when I read it but it’s be such a great visual of not having any room in “their bed” so I get to sleep in “my roomy bed”. Definitely recommend!!!

Worked perfectly for boy/girl twins!
This book was INCREDIBLE and worked absolutely perfectly for my 3 year old boy/girl twins. A lot of books show a kid giving excuses for why they don’t want to be in a big kid bed which a child can just copy. In this book, the sweet elephant shows the kid all the fun things you can do while IN the bed! Just added the book from this series with Louie eating veggies to my cart. Wish she wrote one for potty training. “Silly Louie” (as we lovingly call him) is a favorite in our house that they want to read daily.

Great book for bed transitions
Before we transitioned my 2 year old to a toddler bed, we bought multiple books to read to him about it. A Big Kid Bed is Coming is by far our favorite. Louie is a loveable character and the rhyming is appealing for toddlers. It’s a cute story & goes over that he isn’t sleeping well in a crib & that mommy/daddy are building him a bed. Talks about how Louie is nervous but with his “superhero powers” he’s brave and gives it a try. Just overall a cute story that hits all the important aspects of transitioning to a toddler bed.

Overall good
My 2 year old son loves this book and has memorized most of it. I wish that it didn’t mention Louie’s fear of a big kid bed - my son was not afraid so I would not want a book to even bring it up.

BIGGER AND BETTER
Louie is a toddler elephant who like most toddlers is curious and inquisitive. He loves playing hero and finds adventure everywhere. Louie has one problem. He is getting too big for his crib. His father is putting together a new bed, but Louis is unsure. Then he decides he might as well try it out. Soon he is imagining turning it into a pirate ship, a spaceship and a magic carpet. He now longer loses sleep and is happier than ever.I never had difficulty transitioning my children from crib to bed. For parents whose toddlers are fearful, this book will reassure them. Recommended especially for ages two through five.

Louie the Adventurer
Here is a wonderful book about transitioning from a crib to a big kid bed. It shows how uncomfortable the crib is with the Help of the crazy illustrations. I highly recommend the book for all kids, no matter the age, who are getting a big kid bed. Louie is an Elephant Hero he finds adventure wherever he goes. He went golfing and found Dinosaurs eggs. Louie also has magical powers and soars across the sky. What is Louie not feeling so well about doing? What does he do?

Not Worth Buying
Pretty disappointed in this book. The story line is only so-so. It was a cute way for us to let our daughter know her big girl bed was coming, but that's about it. She did not like the book and I can see why. Not worth the money.

Our 2 year old loves it!
We purchased this book in anticipation of our daughter going into her big kid bed. She loves this book and requests it all the time. I love how it doesn’t talk about it being “scary” to move to a big kid like several other books. It makes it an adventure instead and has a very positive message.
