Great for adding a sling for turkey and deer hunting
Most of the time a sling might get in the way if you are walking through brush and small game hunting. If you are outfitting your old 870 for turkey or deer hunting it really helps to make carry easy while you have a pack and other gear to carry.The pump cap install is very easy. Screw off the old one and screw on the new one. The butt stock screw requires a little care because you have to drill a clearance hole. Just take your time and it will be fine. Once installed, add your favorite adjustable sling and you are good to go.Easy and functional. I recommend it.

A very nice strap holder
This product very easily attaches to my Remington 870, made installing a shoulder strap on my shotgun very easy, and the shoulder strap is tight and does not slide or slip.The only very small draw back is that if you change your barrels often between slug barrel and choked barrel the swivel tends to slow down the removal of the end cap to change the barrel. Otherwise a flawless product and I'd rather have the shoulder strap to aid in walking then a super quick change barrel so overall a near perfect product.

Tough to install, until you figure it out!
These are fantastic. I just hope that this review helps some people.I had the TOUGHEST time figuring out how to open these things. The included instructions are horrible, but here's how I would describe it (I'll upload photos, or a video, as soon as I can, to make things easier):Unscrew, and then PULL HARD on that head. Then, using your other hand, twist the opposite end to rotate the pieces apart. Whew! Harder than it sounds, and you'll shake your hands out, because these small pieces really bite into your fingers.They're as tough as they are tough to open. --And quiet, which I greatly appreciate. No squeaks. Excellent product.

Fits my Remington Wingmaster perfectly. Has the same indents as the original cap.

Didn't thread down all the way, eventually broke my ejector
So initially I thought it was fine. After taking the gun out a few times I had failure to extract and them it wouldn't fire. I realized after awhile (negligence on my part) that the magazine nut wasn't threading down all the way causing slop and misaligned parts which led to a broken ejector and a piece of that ended up in the trigger causing the failure to fire

Doesn't Fit Rem 870 bad machining
Bad machining. The mag cap does not fit the remington 870. Bad machining. The threads end FAR before securing the barrel to the chamber. Im sure I did significant damage to the threads on my Remington with this product. Highly recommend avoiding this brand.
