It's a slow charge. But it does work.

I have a truck that has a wireless charger, but my phone does not. I simply attach this to my phone and put in the charging compartment while I travel. Easier than a big cord. I did not permanently attach it like they suggest ie take my case off and put it inside the case, as I don't have a wireless charger in my house. I use this for long trips - it works - i'm happy.

This worked pretty well for me. I got close to fast charging current although not the most my wall wart can do. I still like it and am using it now permanently. One thing to think about though is that when you plug it in and use a cell phone protector sleeve or case, it is not easy to unplug so it takes up the entire USB port on the phone. If you dont need the USB port for anything else that's great, but if you do it will be hard to use it with this plugged in because you have to unplug it first. I dont need the USB port much for anything else so it is fine for me but it sure would be nice to have a USB power on the power plug as well as the plug itself so i could use the USB port for other things while i have this coil plugged in. I did have a problem with the charging pads used with these coils, one did not work well but the Anker one works well so i am using that one with this now. The other little point is you have to position the phone on the charging pad you buy with this in a fairly exact position or it wont charge. The position is withing maybe 1/8 to 1/4 inch top to bottom and side to side. That means you may have to move it around a little to get it to charge. All that said, i use it all the time now because i never have to plug anything in. It saves the USB port, the last older phone i had the USB connector started to wear out with all the plugging and unplugging and so it because loose with time. I tried the magnetic connectors and they worked for about 6 months then started to fail so i gave up on them and went to this coil and associated charging pad. Good luck.

Got this so my wife's older Android phone can charge on the charging pad in our Model Y. Put it between the back of her LG Stylo 3 and the case. It works quite well in the car and on the wireless charger in the house. (The one that I use on my LG G8X) It doesn't get hot and the phone seems to be charging at a reasonable rate (both car and house). She has no need to worry about plugging in her phone so we won't be removing the charger receiver. If she has anything to transfer to or from the phone we can do it wirelessly using ES File Explorer to / from our NAS. We're quite happy with this as it saves getting a new phone just to get wireless charging in the car. It fits quite well and is basically unnoticeable except for the plug in the USB port. Hopefully it will last until the phone needs to be replaced, if not we'd probably get another. So far I recommend! 5 star product 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
