I really wanted to love this and I do for the most part but as I stared digging in and looking places up I realized there was several errors. For instance one of the coordinates was for a place in Texas (this is a book of places in California). I tried to post photos of proof that the coordinates were wrong but Amazon didn’t let me. Another mistake I saw was a name of a place was wrong. When I looked it up it couldn’t find it. I was eager to buy the books for other states but now am weary they’ll have wrong info as well.

This book is 127 pages long including the credits for the minute pictures. The pages are about a quarter blank for your notes giving very little space for information. On page 11 there is a state map with counties named, there is not a reference to what might be in those counties. The book is divided into regions, but no reference on the map to where these regions are. The individual descriptions reference cities, but other than Sacramento and a few coastal towns there are no references. I find this book a waste of time and my money.

This book purports to be a guide to the best sites to visit in California. The reality is that it contains page after page of information presumably taken right off the Internet, with no commentary and no insights (see photo). The content is banal and obvious. All the photos are small (2" x 1.5") and in black-and-white. The only distinguishing element is the journal aspect where you can write about your reactions to each of the sites.

This book is a surface level list of possible things to do in California. It is by no means comprehensive, nor is it especially informative about any of its suggested explorations. Before you buy this book check around, there are definitely better books to buy if your looking for a guide to the natural wonders of California.

This is one of the worst books I’ve ever read. Nothing you would actually want to do in California, little info on things you might want to do. I wish I could have given it less that 1 star!

had to use with Goggle Maps to figure out where these places are, it's a pain!

Found it odd that some of what I consider California highlights, were not included, however there are some blank form pages to write in some places not listed in the book.

It has sooo many things I never even knew existed to do and see!!
