Elite Garment Steamer

After almost 9 years of daily use by the family our trusty steamer is almost on its last legs. It’s been so good that I am finally buying an exact replacement or maybe upgrade to the larger one. Regardless, this brand makes a genuinely quality product. Disappointed with this steamer. The post does not stay on which makes it useless in hanging your clothes to steam. I dont understand why this feature was not tested properly. The device itself works ok when steaming ligthly wrinkled clothing, but on heavier clothing such as cotton or linen shirts it takes a long time for it to take out the wrinkles. 10-17-2014 Pur Steam's customer service called me today and apologized for the problems encountered on the steamer's defective post. They are shipping a new one out to me today and it will be here this coming Monday. Mr. Ash, service customer rep/owner, also indicated that he will personally walked me through the installation of the replacement steamer to ensure that the post is working properly. The fact that the company cared enough about ensuring that their customers are satisfied with the product will make me change my review from one star to three stars. I will update this review once I get the replacement up and running and testing it on a whole basket of clothes waiting to be steamed. 10-23-2014 Pur Steam's customer service came thru as promised. Mr. Ash walked me thru and sent a visual addendum on how to install the steamer's pole. He promised that the addendum to the installation manual will be included in all of the product. It made a world of difference. I now am able to steam all of the clothes with ease and I am revising my previous statement on its perfomance with heavily wrinkled cotton and linen clothes. Having the ability to hang the clothes made it easier to direct the steam where it was needed. With the pole installed properly, I was able to work thru a basket of wrinkled clothes in less than 30 minutes. Much faster than ironing. I've changed my review from one star to five stars

My laundry/iron/ironing board is in the basement of a 2.5 story home. Doing laundry and ironing and carrying everything up and down the stairs is a major pain. I do laundry every day and fold mostly casual clothes into baskets which usually will sit for a few days before we lug the five baskets upstairs to unload clothes into drawers and closets which causes a number of the items to become creased and wrinkled. Often my children will stuff clothes into drawers, hang improperly, etc. Also, my kids will discard clean or barely worn clothes on the floor or leave in crumpled in piles/backpacks, etc. For under $70, this unit sits compactly in a 2nd floor closet and all of us including my 16, 14 and even my 11 year now uses it with light supervision to refresh and get wrinkles and creases out of clothes. The longest part is taking the unit out of the closet, extending the arms, plugging it in, flipping the switch, putting your item on the hanger. This takes about a minute. The next longest part is waiting for it to heat up (about 45 sec?). The rest is kind of magical. I'd say it only takes about 30-45 seconds to get a kids or teenage girls wrinkled T-shirt decent enough looking for school and casual wear which is just about the attention span of my kids and my husband. Results are so quick with this thing that everyone wants to use it, unlike an iron where you have to 'work' at it, deal with the right settings for the fabric and there is a learning curve relating to positioning the shape of the sleeves, collars, etc. The steamer is fun and easy to use that I often find myself rifling through the closets/drawers seeking out other items to steam before I put the unit away. I'm sure a more perfect/professional job can be achieved with dress clothes and such but I'll leave those reviews to others. I've probably made my money back in not having to rewash and dry loads and loads of items that were not dirty but just wrinkled beyond hope which were lazily tossed back into the laundry. We have found this one of those appliances that works better than we expected. Results occur almost instantly with little effort....right before your eyes. It is small and portable. It is safer than an iron though I did spend time teaching my kids with supervision how to use it at first. A winner.

I didn't hesitate on ordering this PurSteam Heavy Duty Steamer. I have a smaller travel size steamer and love taking it with me on trips to smooth out wrinkles from folds in clothes. I could hardly wait for this heavy duty full size one to arrive. It shipped and arrived promptly and was very well packaged. I think I opened 3 boxes before I actually could see the steamer. Assembly was pretty easy and straight forward. I decided to follow the recommendation and use distilled water, to protect it from build up and deposits over time. It heated up really quickly. I had just gone shopping and purchased a few shirts and brought them home in a bag and they were badly wrinkled from sitting in the bag in the car all afternoon. What a great opportunity to try my steamer out. It took the wrinkles out like a dream. I love the my results and it sure beats ironing. I didn't find the hanger and clips on the telescoping rod to function the way I think it was intended to be used. My shirt kept falling off the hanger and it was at an uncomfortable height for me at 5'5 to work with even when fully extended. I just used a flocked hanger which kept my shirt in place on the hanger nicely and hung it from a hook on a closet door. That being said, the steamer itself worked great, it's justj the accessories didn't work for me. Cleanup was a breeze with the drain plug at the bottom. Overall I'd say this is a good steamer.

Excellent… wish the cord had been longer

Necesito potencia y durabilidad y hasta hoy cumple con las expectativas; es más cara que otros modelos pero para mi lo importante era la potencia. Otras más baratas solo duran unos cuantos meses.

Bought in the UK completely unfit for purpose in the UK, arriving with American Lead at 110v and dangerous to even use in the UK.
