No Seeds
These are empty socks. The description made it sound like they had seeds in them.... So way too expensive.

Finches love these socks!!
Our finches love these socks!! When they get dirty you can hand wash them & they're good as new! Highly recommended!!

Just Right
Not all thistle socks are created equal. This one is very good - the mesh is just loose enough for the nyjer to be accessible, and the button closure works well. The local finches seem to like it.

Finches prefer white!
Who knew? My goldfinches did NOT like the black socks I first bought. White is what they want. As I said, who knew?

The string keeps breaking
The string kept breaking after a couple of days of hanging on a bird feeder pole. For one sock it broke within a couple of hours.

Good workman ship
Very nicely made strong materials mesh and a great draw string with a button ball closer

No seeds included
I fell for this one, I guess. The photo shows full socks, but empty ones were shipped. Didn't read the fine print if there was any.

Birds didn’t eat from it
I won’t buy anymore of these. The birds didn’t eat from them so I transferred the thistle seed to a feeder.

A SIMPLE KNACK TO FILLING SOCK
I have just left a review for this item, but wanted to answer the other reviewer who was unable to fill the socks with Niger seeds. There is a ‘knack’ for filling them. I agree that the holes appear to be too big, but if you stretch the sock slightly and fill with Niger seeds inside a tub or bucket, some will fall out, but the sock will begin to fill. I have successfully filled a sock with Niger seeds. But as stated in my earlier review, the goldfinches don’t appear to like it. Any tips for that problem?

I have lots of birds using my bird feeder, but none of them wanted to use these bags, I had filled them with niger seed

Feeding Socks not suitable for niger seed
These finch feeding socks were purchased to use with Niger Seed BUT we were extremely disappointed. The holes in the sock are too large, causing the seed to simply fall out all over the floor!
