Surprisingly good quality
My grandmother is *always* cold, and she needed something comfortable to use around the house -- something less constrictive than a sweater. Years ago, when she was downsizing to move, she gave me a bunch of shawls she'd made and worn often, and among them was one with pockets like this one -- that I thought was a genius design idea! So this year, when I set out to find her a new shawl, I immediately started searching for one with pockets.I was a little nervous about ordering this one, since it's clearly imported, and my luck with some items from Asia has been hit and miss. But it looked like a nice size, the color is absolutely what my grandmother would want, and it's acrylic -- which means it's easier to clean. I initially looked at some cashmere ones, thinking they'd be really nice, but a coworker helpfully pointed out that an acrylic one could be easily washed at home. Definitely the right move. This one arrived quickly and is exactly like the one in the picture. It's soft but sturdy, not the least bit scratchy, and when I tried it on to make sure it would fit her well, I was tempted to come back and order one for myself. Overall, it's a nice, inexpensive gift for someone who likes to keep things simple and understated.

Love this scarf/wrap/shawl
Love this scarf/wrap/shawl. It's very warm, versatile and I love the pockets. I don't put anything in the pockets but they keep my hands warm. The length is great so you can wrap it around as a scarf and the width is perfect for covering shoulders and arms. I bought this as a lightning deal and am very happy with it.I personally don't think its itchy, staticky or scratchy like a few people said. It's not super soft or plush if that's what your looking for. It has little white fibers in the yarn that make it softer (see photo), if it didn't have those it might have been scratchy.I actually knit and I use all different kinds of yarn. If your worried about it being scratchy, this scarf is a acrylic/nylon blend so I suggest going to a craft store or Walmart, anywhere that carries yarn and feeling the yarns that have the same blend.

So cozy it almost makes me happy that it gets cold in my office!
This is so warm and so soft, that though I bought it originally for my mom, I ended up ordering a second one. We both love it. I keep mine in the office, as so many of our conference rooms are chilly. It's larger than a big scarf, and smaller than a poncho or other type of shoulder throw, and this looks really polished compared to other options for staying warm in professional settings. The "light tan" color I ordered is actually a medium heathered brown... just a bit lighter than what the Amazon picture shows on my computer. It goes well with a lot of my work outfits, so it actually looks like part of my outfit for the day. It's also handy, when you're in office attire that might be less likely to have pockets, for there to be pockets on this for keeping your cell phone, business cards, pens, etc. handy.

New Favorite Scarf
It’s really long for a 5’5” person. Both ends sit just above my knees when I drape it over my shoulders evenly. It is soft, cozy, and the pockets are actually deep enough to be usable. I wrap it twice around my shoulders so I can safely use the pocket for my phone and keys when taking the dog out and it’s really convenient. I tend to have skin issues with certain types of fabrics, but after washing it once I’ve had about a week of heavy use and have had no issue. I liked it so much that I ordered the other three colors as well.

The black is actually a very dark grey. This keeps me comfortably warm. Sheds on solid black clothing.
This is a rally comfy wrap, and the pockets are a nice touch. The first one I ordered arrived with a flaw in the knitting which was going to become a hole. I returned that one and ordered another which is flawless. It is soft and no itchy. The black is not black, rather a very dark grey which is as neutral as black. It does wrinkle, but if I smooth it out and let it lay flat after using it, it looks good enough. I always have to remember to fold it carefully. Still, it keeps me comfortable and warm and the pockets help me to keep it secured around my shoulders. After using this shawl for a couple of months, I realized the grey fibers in the yarn cause the shawl to shed just a bit on black clothing worn with it.

Nice wrap
Bought this as a gift to fulfill the Christmas wish of a lady that was posted on our church's Christmas Wish Tree. While I can't say how she likes it I can say that it is a very soft and warm wrap with the added bonus of pockets. I liked that it does not have any fringe that many of the wraps I found in stores had.It is big enough to really WRAP around a person...very comfy and very warm. And yes ... it is thick.

Love the pockets
I gave this shawl/wrap to my MIL who is 94. She loves it. She immediately put it around her shoulders and wore it the rest of the day. She loved the deep blue color, the pockets and how soft it is. The reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it needs some kind of button or fastener near the neck to keep it closed around her throat. I noticed through the day that she kept pulling it up tight around her throat. That is the only problem we have with the wrap.

Soft but a bit scratchy
Great size. It is perfect if your shoulders get cold. Or if you want something to throw over a tank, or spaghetti strap dress. The pockets are a great, I love how deep they are. It looks nice on. My only qualm is the knit is a bit scratchy. If you have fibromyalgia or other sense issues, just be aware of it. Doesn't bother me through clothes. Gives the appearance of being far softer than it is. The construction is solid. Should hold up to the years of wear I plan on. Overall, it is worth the $16 I paid for it.
